Mijn oma was friessin Pietje Boskma . Mijn moeder heette Tjitske en ik had een ome Douwe en ome oege en mijn broertje heette ook oege . Vroeger ging ik weleens naar damwoude met mijn ouders om familie op te zoeken

I love how the men dressed like gentlemen (not rough and tough/hoodies etc ) and the wonen dressed ladylike (not skimpy, cool and chic). Such beautiful clothing back then.

Thank you so much for this video! My great-grandfather, William Hosken, was from Penzance and emigrated to America after World War 1. He would have been 35 when these scenes were filmed. Thank you for showing my great-granddaddy's world to me.
