Nice job.. I was worried about pegging the Bread Board end, until you said you had left expansion room in the DrawBore holes.... Off to watch the second part, then out to the Workshop to make a start on mine!!

Hello Ian, Thank you for the kind words. I really enjoyed building my bench and built what I think will work best for me. The ends of my bench top have been a point of contention for sure. I just did not want to see the end grain and thought it would look neat. My shop is conditioned so I am not that worried about it besides its a workbench, right? I would love to see what you come up with so please keep me posted! Thanks again....Billy

"Easier to check than correct"....I like that :) Reminds me of....."An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure". Dont know who said it or where I heard it, but thats one of my favourite sayings. Nice work on the bench, friend :)

I started doing carpenter work with my Dad at around 15 yrs old. I worked with my Great Uncle JC. That saying came from him, he had a million of them. He was an old school carpenter and taught me a lot. I treasure those days. We stayed close until he died a few years ago at 94. Good thing he quit drinking and smoking at age 67.....lol Thank you for watching Jay

@@billylisasremodelingchanne4344 Those old school lads were a different breed.......theres nothing they couldnt do!! A different mentality then too..... they were jus made of harder stuff!! I woulda loved to have the chance to work with people like that, so much to learn from them :) Thats a GREAT age to live to my friend.......a few things that will get someone to that age I believe...hard work, and good eating; bet ya never seen him eat a microwave dinner or foods full of processed crap like is the norm nowadays :/ Part of him lives on in you and your work Billy, through the things he taught you; you carry his essence forward :)

Us that woodpecker rule worth the money?

I’ll be honest, all the Woodpecker stuff I have bought I really like. Feels good in your hands and super accurate except the drill press table. Mine warped so I made a new one from some left over walnut butcher block. Now I love it. All the parts that made up the drill press table were awesome, just should have done a better job on the table itself.
