a work in progress #2

here is an unedited video of an original improvisational composition that’s been a work in progress for a couple years.
Played on my Essex EUP-123S piano designed by Steinway, recorded with my trusty iPhone XS Max.

im thinking of getting the same piano. but many people say its a china made piano and the quality isnt that great. how isit?

This particular Essex EUP-123S is fantastic. The first one that was delivered had some issues that I didn't spot in the showroom - and it was definitely related to quality control. But since Steinway designed it and they sell it in their showroom, they treat it as if it's a Steinway and swapped out the first piano with this replacement. What a difference! So if you have a good dealer, a good tech, and you can be picky by spending a lot of time at the showroom playing the exact piano you plan to purchase, then I'd say it's well worth it. All pianos are a little different even when playing the same model - even with a Steinway. This Essex is Steinway designed, and has been a beautiful instrument for me and our family for about 5 years so far. It was a really decent price and thanks to my amazing technician - it is an even better instrument today than when I first bought it.
