We Have a Ghost was an incredible film, I had forgotten all about it until this video. And I've just been gifted Her Majesty's Royal Coven for my birthday so super excited to get into that. I'm 90 million years into NaNoWriMo at this point. Definitely will be hibernating whenever it eventually finishes.

I just got out of a two month long reading and writing slump and now I'm super excited. I jumped right into the Assassin's apprentice. 100 pages in and I am loving it!!!!! Also, I am listening to The Glass Witch audiobook, and it is so so cuteeeeee! Addie has my whole heart!❤❤❤

So sweet. 🥺 Congratulations again on finishing BITTER BONES and for 100 Goodreads reviews for THE GLASS WITCH! 🥳 I have some TV recs for you, both on Netflix: ARCHIVE 81, which is a spooky supernatural horror show based on a podcast and RAISING DION, which is about a Black boy with superpowers and there’s authentic disability rep, too! My horror pilot that I revised and am adapting into a novel for Nano I basically pitch as ARCHIVE 81 meets THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE with a queer disabled Egyptian protagonist. 🥰 I’m also impressed with how many books you read! I read 10 in October with a few spooky reads. I loved STARLING HOUSE! And BEING ACE came out, so I went to go sign my book in a Barnes & Noble. I’d love to go back and sign some more/go to my favorite indie bookstore, too.

I started off strong with NaNo but life got in the way. There is a lot of emotional stress lately so I need to find a day where I can write all the missing words to get back on track. But I won’t quit. Nothing will ruin my author dream.

I haven't listened to it, but BBC Radio 4 has a new series of Uncanny where they investigate paranormal occurrences and the exerts they've been playing at the end of other shows sound genuinely terrifying. Might be something you'd like? lol Also, yes, NaNo. I am determined! I will finish this year!

The creepiest book I read this October was The Honeys by Ryan LaSala. So much horror takes place in the dark… this was so unique in that it didn’t just take place mostly in the sunshine, it actually used the sunshine as part of the horror. You know that dreamy, disoriented feeling of being dazed in the hot sunlight, almost too bright to open your eyes? Imagine that being twisted with surreal horror. Yeah. I definitely recommend it, but TW for anyone with trypophobia. And one of those Goodreads reviews was from me. I had to tell everyone about the need to flag down passersby so I could read some of the particularly sparkling bits out loud. (I actually held a couple of librarians hostage briefly to read them the nemesis bit, and they loved it.)

Congrats on 100 Goodreads reviews! omg my main Halloween favorites this year were Interview with the Vampire (AMC show; I'm not even embarrassed to say I watched the whole season multiple times last month lol) and the Nerdy Prudes Must Die musical here on KZbin (it was funny and I didn't even pause watching the whole thing lol). I'm a NaNo rebel (started the month at 23k and trying to get to 55k) and it's going okay so far lol! Good luck to you this month!
