A Yacht-Themed Abarth?! Abarth 695C Rivale First Drive

Have you ever looked at an Abarth and wish it was a bit more...yacht-themed? I'm guessing the answer to that is a no, however, Abarth has made such a car anyway. It doesn't have sails or rotors, if that's what you thinking, though. Abarth has teamed up with luxury yacht company Riva to build a 695 Rivale that has styling cues to remind you of luxury boating.
See that aquamarine stripe running around the car? That's not just there to look pretty, it's meant to remind you of the water line on a Riva Aquarama. No, really, it is. You can also choose to have this car with a wooden dashboard to make it feel even more yacht like, but the car tested here has got the carbon dash, which I prefer.
I think it's about time I talk about power. Powering this Abarth is a turbocharged 1.4 litre petrol engine which produces 180hp and 250Nm of torque. This power is fed to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox, and is good enough to get you to 62 in under 7.0 seconds and continue to a top speed of 140mph.

Thanks for the review, but for me definitely with the wooden Dashboard, so beautiful ! loved it on the normal Riva.

Looks fantastic. Im not a fan of the soft top though, tested one a few years ago and the body wasnt rigid enough, it felt like it was twisting all over the place. The interior is awesome though and I like the paint job. I had a black 595 a few years ago, and they have made big improvements inside by the looks of it. Great review as always by a normal geezer.

Great review - it's a quirky little thing - I used to own a Fiat Panda that the little Abarth shares its underpinnings with; I like how they do things a little bit differently. I always loved the high gear lever. Where I live, I can't help but think it might be more prone than most to vandalism.

original abarth 500 brakes are terrible when getting on it if you buy one upgrade them straight away for the brembos

To bad Fiat and Abarth can not make good timing belts. Most cars can do 7 to 10 years and 120- 180000 km on one.
