My two favorite KZbin channels together. I have several 3 yard books and have made a few, but really enjoyed this last year watching Emily make the various patterns and learning a lot from her about colors and patterns that go together. She has a lot of creative combinations. I, of course, also love watching Fran and Donna put kits together and all the new patterns they've come out with lately.

I watched all of 2023 quilt videos done by Emily. She is so fun to watch. The most fun is seeing someone do your 3 yard quilts and getting some new ideas. She used some of the best fabrics and colors. I would have never thought of using together. Your books are my go to books for quilting. My son wanted a Christmas quilt for my great-granddaughter. Well of course out came the 3 yard quilt books. I used a cat in Santa hats fabric. I just finished Fireside this week for another great-granddaughter. I am so looking forward to your new projects.

I have been watching you for such a long time, and then discovered Emily by accident early last year. I was hooked by her love of colour and her fearlessness in putting prints and colours together that made me initially shake my head in horror but ended up by my staring in wonder. I have all your books and many of your individual patterns, and made 14+ quilts last year while recovering from heart surgery. I was wandering through my favourite fabric shop in Brisbane (Australia) recently and met some ladies and we started talking about 3yd quilts - for half an hour! They were also fanatical admirers of you and your channel and were looking for fabric to make one of your quilts. We had such a laugh, and all the shoppers and staff joined in. I love you all, and am looking forward to 2024 with you and Emily. Plus April of course (from April’s Craft Room) who is also a hoot! I would love to see you chatting online together, and MA Couture as they both make 3yd quilts. Thank you many times over for brightening days last year that weren’t so bright for me to start with 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Hello Donna and Fran, this was an interesting conversation today with Emily. This is the first time I've met her, she is a delightful person I will have to look up her site. And see what she's all about she seems very interesting. I love watching fabric Cafe videos You guys are a kick in the pants. But I mean that in a very good way, Don't take it wrong !! .. looking forward to seeing more of your upcoming videos. Talking with other quilt designers is a very good thing. Because it gives viewers like myself, a chance to meet fellow quilters. Although Fabric Cafe will always be my favorite. Okay looking forward to the next video Thanks for posting.

I saw 3 yd quilts at a quilt expo years ago when i was just getting started in quilting and i have to admit, i didn't quite "get it.' But I came to have the same feelings about 1/4 yd of this, 1/2 yd of that, leftover fabrics, etc. So i have made a few 3 yd quilts and have accumulated several of the pattern books. And I love them!

Question*****. What was the first quilt pattern you designed. We should all sew that one for a sew a long. Of course you can just launch it and just show us the finished quilt. We can sew it and post our quilts on your Facebook. That sounds like a great way to see all the fabrics everyone chooses. I also hope to see any interview show at least 3 quilts they have made even if it were just pictures. I know Emily donates them but maybe 🤔 she has pictures???? Love that Emily asked you questions to so not only did we get to learn about her and her journey but also Donna and Frans too. Hugs ladies you hit it out of the park. Thanks for supporting Emily through this introduction so her channel can grow.

@@andrsn4u455 it was soooo fast and easy! I cut the fabric before I went to bed, got started on it around noon, and was done with the top before I went to bed. I can say it would've been way faster if I didn't watch things with subtitles 😅.

@@deathdiablo22 that’s how I work ( cutting blocks and putting them on design boards) that way I can just go in the craft room and start sewing, yes I’m sure you shouldn’t watch stuff with subtitles if you want to sew but you got it done so I guess you can watch something with subtitles 🤣😂🤣😂

I really enjoyed the two videos from two quilt channels I subscribe to. I followed Emily's journey through 2023 with 3 yard quilts because I was already a subscriber to Fabric Cafe. I have sewed for years, but have very little experience with quilting. I hope to change that in 2024, and I hope to begin with one of your 3 yard quilts!

I am a big fan of Emily’s and I watched all of her 3-yard quilt videos plus all of her others. I also don’t miss a video from Fabric Cafe. Some of my other quilters that I watch make videos include Kate of The Last Homely House, Jamie of the Quilting Compound, Tammie Earnest who does beautiful quilting on her longarm for her customers as well as quilting and cross stitch for herself, and Susz of Revelation Quilts just to name a few. Thank you for sharing your time with Emily; I really love her videos, especially when she makes a 3-yard quilt.
