A Year of Film: A Beginners Perspective

In this video I didn't cull for my best images or the perfect shots. That wasn't the goal or intention. It's about the mistakes, the happy accidents, and the journey to my final couple good rolls.
This past year post graduation was a big learning curve. Whether or not to prioritize working all the time to make money or to dig my heels in and make something for myself. In the process of digging my heels in and finding a healthy balance between my actual job and shooting. I found myself falling in love with cameras and the ritualistic habit of hitting a shutter button.
I am in no way a wealth of knowledge nor will I ever preach my beliefs on cameras, glass, and all the intricacies to film, photography and video. Because at the end of the day I'm just a beginner myself. I have fun shooting and at the end of the day I'll be happy no matter what becomes of me.
My goal with this channel is slow growth. Becoming a better photographer, filmmaker, and storyteller. Someday we will reach some sort of nebulous definition of perfection. But for now, this is it, and this is my video. I truly can't wait to grow into this and perfect my visuals and audio editing.

Awesome video, honestly man such a beautiful thing to know others in the same age make similar experiences. I believe the strength of film is the feeling of an empowerment about one's own memories.
