You’re so correct about how going through your thought process is helpful to others. This is definitely true! And I love your planner-it’s both creative and practical.❤❤❤

I'm glad you explained how much time and work goes into making digitals. It's a lot for 1 person. And here I was thinking I wished you made more videos ... I look forward to each and every one ... I relate to finding it hard to part with journals. It's very hard. Always will be ...

I loved your video answering questions by your viewers! It would be so nice to have another one! The procedure that you explained us on how you make your digitals with AI is so interesting! I would love to know more about it! Also, I can fully relate with you on how difficult it is to part with your jj babies! I once gifted a jj that i have made for myself, to a nanny who was helping me with my newborn baby, and i so much miss it even though 3 years have passed! It was a jj with a kind of soft cover, with a rounded spine, and i have used for it a digital with a girl with dogs in shabby chic style. I back then thought that i could make another one for myself with the same digital, but i have never found the time and energy to make any jjs since then! Thankfully, i have a flip through video of it, so i can refer to it from time to time. Sending you hugs and kisses, Elena.

Thank you for the such a great journey through all these journals! Recently I started to to have fun with AI graphics, mostly out of curiosity, but I really enjoy having the images that really translate my visions into graphics I can use in my otherwise very analogue and off-screen craft. Hence some thoughts about describing and showcasing this type of art: have you considered labeling products containing AI imagery? I thought this type of transparency might prevent some of "this looks so good but let's check if the number of fingers is correct and if every leaf is connected to the plant and if every line makes sense" kind of scrutiny ;) It is what it is, it's not perfect, but it helps to deliver the vision!

hi Barbara ❤ thank you for answering to my questions! Today I'll try and create a page using your suggestions for a focal point! it's a pity you're not going to organise a meeting in person but I can 100% understand and relate, I wouldn't be able to organise one myself😅. Thank you for sharing your art with us!!! ❤

Oh my gosh!! So many things I want to say. And we both know that’s scary because my comments are usually too long! First, I love this video. I’ve told you so many times how much I love seeing you flip through your Journal looking for the perfect page to use. So I was in Heaven watching this one. Next, I realized when I started watching your channel for the first time. I had moved back to Utah (from Texas) in August 2020. When you showed your altered book Journal (Readers Digest), I realized that was the first Journal I watched you make. Also, I love your paper ruffles. I think I learned to make them from Natasha at Treasure Books. I made tons at first. I’ve used them in a few Journals and I still have some left. Love them!! Thank you so much for teaching us and inspiring us. I’m excited to see where we’ll go in 2024. ♥️♥️♥️

I made my first "Barbara Inspired" soft cover JJ 3 months ago. I'm doing my 2nd month with your monthly kits in it and absolutely loving it !!! First signature I did my own thing 😅. I recently had a new JJ friend over, she'd never seen a journal like this and fell in love !!! ❤ So I get to go to her house and play "let's make a Barbara journal" with her ! Taking my sewing machine too !! 😅😂😊

I love strolling down your memory lane and feel honoured to be along with you on your journey every week🤗. They're like a garden growing beautiful with every memory. I always forget the community tab 🙈. I love the sound of those hand pans! So grateful when you do film but you definitely should do it for yourself too. I'm really enjoying making digitals and was inspired by you! Time consuming but rewarding. Loving using AI images, they do take a lot if development. I've lost confidence in my own art unfortunately. A course sounds very labour intensive. Yes you're going to need more shelf space 😄. Parting with some is hard 🙈 unless I've made to gift and maybe sell. I found an ancient paint brush to use as I love yours. Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖

Totally agree ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️about working your KZbin channel and all that involves versus running a workshop and retreat. I have chosen the workshop end of it, there is no time to do videos, preparing and getting everything ready for the classes and at this point just getting my retreat ready for Clients to stay and play, is enough! Eventually, I will be showing videos of people participating in the workshops. Gradually I have added Journal flip through videos. And on Facebook showing all the work that I’m doing at the retreat itself I am a one woman show at 74 and this has been a dream after raising children by myself. I’m determined and have a passion for creativity.

Love your jjs/art. ❤ I've also struggled to describe junk journaling to others until recently I explained it like this. "As a creator, I am dabbling in bookbinding by making journals from recycled, and or repurposed materials." This explanation seemed to get people past the term, "junk journal," which they seem to get stuck on, and help them to approach the idea through the more familiar "acceptable and understandable" (to them) craft of book bonding.

Barbara your journals are amazing. I always wonder about trying to keep a theme throughout but you showed that they can be quite eclectic and they work beautifully, thank you. I would love to know how you manage to sew on some of your pages after the bases are in the journal or is it that you sew the toppers first so it looks like they've been sewed in? I hope you understand what I mean 🤣 Thank you for your time.

I love this Q&A. It was so much fun to get to learn more about you and your creative process. Here is a question for a future video. I enjoy making journals, and made quite a few of them. I also have several ideas and I am inspired by folks like you about how to use them. But when it comes to it, I struggle to start. I end up with several journals, lots of ideas on my head, but nothing really ends up in the journals. I struggle with this, it is like a blockage. Have you ever felt this way? Any ideas of how to overcome it?

Barbara:I have no idea what your business budget is, but I would start thinking of outsourcing to accomplish things for your future growth as far as teaching classes on video or having actually workshops. Dear Barbara, I just love your journals and your digital papers. Especially your planner packages would be right up my alley if….. yes, if… You know, I am an utterly anglophilic person, but I just prefer calendars in German. Would you deem it rude if I asked you to take into consideration a German version as well….? ☺️
@49dragonflies8 ай бұрын
Thanks! My calendar pages are not dated, so you could easily stamp the days for the weekly pages in German. I had more versions last year (although not in German), but it took much time each month, so I had to reduce. So sorry!
