I'm a big fan of Pinterest. Sometimes you can just eyeball projects and then they turn out completely different. This is so nice and vintage looking. Nice to make and put into a family tree album.

When glueing intricate die cuts I usually squeeze a small amount of glue onto my craft mat and then dab it on with a makeup sponge or craft sponge. You get a nice even coat with less squishing. 😊

Barbara, I love these Pinterest envelopes that you created. I’m going to try these. What a cute way to send happy mail. I really appreciate that you created one with paper as well as the fabric ones. This encourages me to think outside the box❤

I have always put my dies cutting side up, then paper and then the top plate. If it is an intricate die I put a book paper or any thin paper over my ‘good’ paper to prevent the scratched up top plate from marking it. Often the book page pieces are an added bonus! Love when you do Pinterest inspired projects, I love to do that too! 💕🇨🇦

Will definitely be trying this one! I wonder if leftover charm pack pieces of fabric would work?? It would be a great project for larger scraps. Also might be a good way to use up some napkins either on the inside or outside . . . So many ideas!! Thanks for the inspiration and instructions ❤

And I bought a bunch of different drawer pulls at Hobby Lobby yesterday so each cupboard and drawer in my new kitchen has something different - in homage to YOU I purchased a dragonfly! ❤️❤️. Love you, MomK

Ooh, Pinterest time😁. Lol nothing 😄. Adorable napkins!😍. I glue stick napking then matte medium over afterwards. Everything looks gorgeous on Tim's fabric. I always overwhelm myself with choice 🙈. Yeah I'd have probably tried to brush the embossing powder off too 🙊. So do we actually need embossing ink?😄. It's gorgeous on that red paper😍. I'm not good at stamp n die cutting 🙈 I always miss🙊. Adding a shim of card can help awkward dies cut better. Love the spoon thing! 👏👏👏. Glue pen is good for fiddly cuts. They're all gorgeous sweetie 😍. Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖

Stampin Up sells an embossing buddy or they used to. It helps to avoid static when working with embossing powders and heat embossing.

Barbara, on the butterflies that don't come out well, try putting a piece of wax paper between the die and the paper. Then run it through. I did that with delicate snowflakes recently, and it worked real well for getting them out.

They help so much for those of us who make a lot of them 😂 But more importantly, we learn how to fix them! But no, I don’t think I would’ve had the patience to brush all those little lines off. Gorgeous envelopes loved each one of them 😍 for the die cuts with lots of details to be removed you gotta get the brush roller I think it’s name, you put your cut paper on something soft like mouse pad, and you roll that on it, all the details will get off super easily

These turned out beautifully Barbara, and I love the tip with rubbing the spoon on the back of the die, if it hasn't cut through properly. I must try that. 🙂 Also, if you have some drier sheets on hand and rub one on the cutting edge of the die before you run it through your Big Shot, the die cut image will literally fall out of the die!! I have been using that trick for years, and it has never failed. This works especially well with intricate dies. 😀

Hey, Barbara. My fave was the red envelope with butterflies. It would probably be popular during Chinese New Year, when grandparents give the little ones currency in red envelopes. Traditionally the envelopes are embossed in gold with kanji messages, but this would certainly add deeply meaningful symbolism. Plus I liked the butterflies' two colorways. And I feel the embossing treatment on the circles could be done three ways, some left alone, some partly cleaned up, some completely cleaned up, sort of a compromise. I love the simplicity of making your own envelopes without the punch board, just start with a simple square and work forward from there. You always bring so much inspiration to the table. I don't have all your toys and supplies, but looking forward to trying this using my own stash. Thanks for this post. 💖

I’m a total fan of the hod embossing, as well… well Amy embossing, really;) Adore your ideas and love the that red with craft paper envelope, particularly. I’m not a perfectionist, but I like that you brushed of the embossing powder from the black circles and how that turned out. This is something I never would have done, and I like seeing how it turned out. I’m guessing the ink was reset from the embossing ink- maybe archival next time? Love watching your process:)❤
