That was the job o did to my cutthroat straight after I bought the frame !!! She is always like brand new. It's a time consuming job but it worth it

I have ptsd from this product. 5 hours straight for tailored full suspension frame + fork. Joking aside, the directions are good and it seems pretty durable. Also unnoticeable unless I’m really looking at my bike.

I used Shelter tape on our Topstones, which is pretty thick stuff, but it has held up perfect after nearly 2 years. Thanks!

With the current bike prices, this tape is starting to look increasingly less unnecessary

100% agree. Utter waste of money for a few strips of plastic film.

Excellent! I've been really curious if this would last long enough to justify the time it takes to install. I've already slapped on several strategically placed helicopter tape patches to get an idea of just how well even that little bit of protection can be. After seeing this, I think it might be time to go for the full thing 😁

On mine I used 3M Temflex friction tape I already had in the toolbox. Only comes in black but suppose cloth hockey tape would work too if you like colors and graphics.

I’ll never understand protecting a bike from scratches. But I’m glad this exists for people who want it.
@wtcashel2 жыл бұрын
If you own a $5,000 to $15,000 bike, for many, that’s an investment worth protecting at a reasonable cost of the wrap.

10k bike with $200 worth of protection, plus install time…no brainer.

I always thought little scratches are like badges of honor but then I did get a ridewrap kit. More than anything, it makes cleaning my bike extremely easy. Dirt doesnt stick to the film like it does to frame materials.

@wtcashel bikes are not an investment whatsoever if you buying a bike as an investment you are making a serious financial error

I like the video. Thanking you for the information. That was helpful. Did you put that tape on your other bikes as well, like the Warbird?

I bought a roll of 3M tape for a few bucks and cut it myself. Covers more at a fraction of the cost.

I’m enjoying the bike so far kzbin.infoUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA My only real complaints are the brakes and the pedals. I feel like a bike designed for bigger people should have much larger pedals and more heavy duty brakes. I’ve only gotten two really good rides out of it, minimal downhill action, and the brakes feel like they’re already going out. A larger person has more momentum, so I think this wasn’t thought through very well. Also, I wear size 13-14 wide shoes. My feet cramp up on these pedals that are clearly made for smaller feet. Since I’m not a pro rider (and I don’t think many are who purchase this bike) I don’t think that the straps on the pedal are necessary at all. None of this takes away from the enjoyment I get from riding, however. I’ll just head to a bike shop to improve on a few things.

i can not recommend ride wrap anymore. The installation ist really time consuming and the parts will never fit perfectly. Further customer support is not good.
@larryfahn132 Жыл бұрын
I just purchased ride wrap "covered fit" and WOULDN'T RECOMMEND IT to anyone. Mine didn't come with any instructions, the sheets weren't numbered and it wasn't "custom" to my bike, despite filling out 7 questions. It seemed like a general kit. Not custom. When I realized that, I figured I'd install the fork kit and return the frame kit. Unfortunately, returning the $65 kit isn't worth it. They charge you to return it. Seriously. They state on their website that they charge you a 20% restocking fee, they deduct $18.95 for their shipping cost, plus you have to pay for the return shipping (I get that last part). After returning the $65 "covered fit" kit, you'll end up with about $25. Go buy aircraft tape and do it yourself. Ps. I'm not sponsored by any company.

It's people like you that give companies and products a bad reputation. The "Tailored Fit" is custom to your bike. The "Covered Fit" is a universal kit as it states online. Maybe next time do a little more research before complaining that you ordered the wrong product. I'm also a small business owner and make mistakes but don't complain when they were my fault. Live and learn.
