Yeah. That was the first I noticed too. Terrible steering circle. I had to learn in swinging out more just so as not to scrape my rear wheels on a kerb. That happened a few times. I am puzzled as to why it is built like that. Other than that, I actually prefer the MK 7.5 over the MK 8. I got an APR stage one and a DSG tune to follow. It already woke up my car to 375 hp 500nm. I have an Invidia Q300 Cutback system. Sounds awesome. It is designed to work with the adjustable oem exhaust flaps.

The turning circle is bad on the mk7 Golf R because it is AWD. You don't have that problem on the regular(FWD) mk7 Golf or GTI.

I will never sell my mk 7.5 3 door. Same colour but pan roof. 28k on the clock. A true keeper and I’m 50.

Sound isn't through the sound system. There's a sound actuator fitted to the bottom of the windscreen (in the engine bay area) that vibrates the windscreen.

u can control the gear fully if u want by shift u dsg to the left. i found out by mistake on my golf r 2019

U be up for a new waterpump soon,new thermostat,software upgrade for the gearbox which will end up with a brandnew gearbox install as the current software overworks the dsg so they told me.....

Pity you guys don't have the Cupra in Aus... same motor as the R just looks a lot less boring and more sporty. I had the choice of the R wagon and went for the Cupra ST because in my opinion it looks better.
