Practicing compassion deepens our awareness of others; we connect, we feel moved by what others may be going through; we feel a desire to help relieve their pain. The more we practice, the stronger, more effective the response becomes. Compassion is like a muscle and needs to be exercised to develop, allowing our journey to expand.
