Okay, so she isn't actually yandere? We've just been witnessing the release from all those pent up feelings from so long ago finally come out in one burst. Knowing this makes me less wary of their relationship, I won't lie

That's what I find so damned interesting about this premise. We're given all this foreshadowing in the form of predictions that he'll be "gnawed to the bone", occasionally scary drawings of her, even the charm bracelet reaffirms a predator/prey relationship. She definately suffers from anxious attachment issues, some boundary pushing that needs a course correction, and general social awkwardness that's very understandable and common for someone who sticks out in a crowd as much as she does. But at no point does it feel like her intentions are anything but honest. Her years long pining for him may be a problem when she eventually finds out he's just a dumb confused kid like her, not the saint she's built him up in her head to be, but shit, that's literally every relationship. The latest comic teased the possibility of us seeing her genuinely upset and jealous for the first time, but it feels on the surface to be played for laughs. I think the possibility of tragedy here is less on the "Hyena-chan has some sinister intent" side and more on the "this is her first serious relationship and she might not know how to handle the big emotions that come with that" side. That and her manipulative bitch mom elbowing her way into things...
