The A14 is one of the UK's busiest non-motorway roads. It runs as a high-standard dual carriageway for 137 miles/220 km from the M1 & M6 junction at Catthorpe to the Port of Felixstowe, the UK's busiest container port. Linking several major roads along the way and carrying port traffic, the A14 has a very high percentage of HGVs.
This video shows a westbound journey along the A14, from junction 50 for the A1120 at Stowmarket, to junction 47 for the A1088 at Woolpit/Elmswell. This section is more recently constructed than many other parts of the A14, replacing an awful, twisty, section known as the Haughley Bends.
