In Sweden we call them "Strandskata". Roughly translated to Beach magpie. Your translation from Latin "Haematopus ostralegus", makes more sense though.

Another superb blog Olly, ref the implement behind the Quad track - if a farmer can’t fix it then it’s not worth fixing - great how you all turn your hand to repairing anything!! 😊👍

Hi Ollie, those bougault buttons are a pain and I have also had the same issues as you swapping units between machines. Pan-Anglia are my go-to for those parts. But a quick fix for the button is a short piece of rubber fuel line to replace the green plastic.

Love Tom Lambs KZbin channel I am already subscribed. His shed build videos are great. Knowsley safari park is a great day out to be fair. Although we've learnt the hard way to avoid driving through the baboon enclosure. You can drive alongside and watch the carnage from a distance it's hilarious when you see brand new cars getting ripped apart 😂😂

I'm convinced that there are fields full of Corsas, Clios and the like, waiting to become 5-10 years old. The only time I ever see them, they're never new and only driven by kids, or more usually, abandoned in a hedge on a country lane.🤣🤣

10:00 - Oystercatcher. Lots of them in the Western Isles where I used to live, and sometimes some down here where I'm living whilst on dialysis. 105% today, mostly for a surf n turf lunch, since only one yellow car and one orange one.

I can't imagine how you would ever do an inch of field work this year so far without the Quadtrack. If these fields were regularly ploughed, would that 'layering' of the soil be a factor?

The bird in question is a Haematopus ostralegus . Running at 80% after my latest illness will be 90-100% when I get back to work. The weather has decimated the construction industry in many places and as such struggling to gain employment in the northwest. Plenty of work in Scotland and down south .

Equipment serial numbers: Not related to farming but when I was in a factory I used to log all serial/model numbers of machines and attachments so when spares were required and original numbers were lost/erased I had everything to hand rather than saying it's a ?????? and I think its maybe X years old for them to say but it could be umpteen diiferent types of parts if you dont know serial no.
