Example studies will not be assessed directly, however candidates should an example in their responses.

@emjay5440 But sir in the feb/march 2024 paper there was a 2 marker on an example study by tapper et al. This syllabus confuses me 😭🙏🏻

@@rehabward3582 'In addition, there are a number of example studies throughout the content of the specialist options to help teachers illustrate the topic and research methodology appropriate to the topic. Example studies will not be assessed directly, however candidates should use an example in their responses.' - Page 60 (2024-2026 Syl.) This says candidates will not be assessed DIRECTLY on example studies. If you are referring to the question 'Outline one example of a sample of children used in a study of healthy eating'. This question does not DIRECTLY demand knowledge on the study by Tapper et al. in particular. I advise students to prepare for a 6 mark descriptive question from every bullet in the syllabus. Eg. 'schools with a focus on healthy eating, including a study, e.g. Tapper et al. (2003).' While preparing for a 6 mark question, ideally a student should be memorizing essential details.
