First, yes I know it was a number of years ago, but still a nice revie. One of the things I noticed immediately, compared to other LSAs I've watched and or flown in J170s, J120s for example and a low wing early Brumby, the Vixen seems stable and not jittery/jumping all over the place (I absolutely hated that). Your hands quite steady on the yoke (I prefer a yoke) not jumping around correcting like a frog in a sock. It's a pity your commentary becomes quite garbled in the training area, I assume you were demonstrating stalls? And good the idiot with no calls at all was far enough below not to cause an issue. So this looks like a very nice entry into the LSA market here. I enjoyed your positive review.

Easy to fly ..not easy to land. Very easy to damage undercarriage and it costs thousands to repair ..like $9000 for 3 bent legs. Trick is don't use flaps and don't flare ..just parallel the runway until it slowly settles .

@Sasha R Congrats indeed ..I have not damaged the undercarriage either. Can't say the same for some of our syn. pilots unfortunately and students at some flying schools .BTW ..The A22 is far easier to land than the A32 ...not that I have issues with either other than our very high insurance premiums ($10,000 Aus per year) for the A32

@Sasha R Well what happens in one country does not alter what happens in Australia...None of our syn .pilots are students either. .Wish we had zero damage.

@@johnpro2847 what would the insurance cost be per year for 1 a32?

I was wondering if that little machine has the capability to do the cross to the main continent so you can save im plane tickets and airport hassle 😉
@fly73059 жыл бұрын
+TheDRIBBLER2 Yes , the flight would take about 1.5 hours in no wind. You would be limited to VFR flight so you would not go unless the weather is suitable.

+Roméo Delta     The plane is fairly clean and is nice to fly. I have a tight airstrip and presently use the A22LS.The Vixen would operate out of home no problem. As it is cleaner you would need to have good speed control . Less rudder is needed to balance aileron and the pitch changes when applying flap are minimal. It has a very wide speed range. I am waiting for the stick version as I prefer a stick to a yoke.
