I always manually land my planes when I reach within 10nms and same as the Concorde, which is tricker but can be done.

Nice! I can't wait to get stuck into this now I have my Velocity One. I've waited and waited patiently, only dipping in on the odd occasion as I wanted to play it "properly" :) One things maybe you can answer? What's the reasoning for the push/pull throttle being off when all the way out? I always thought you pulled it out to increase the throttle. There must be a reason it's done the other way around? Or am I over thinking it?

@@Pilot0083 Cheers for that. But I feel bad now for not explaining myself properly 😳 What I meant to ask was, is it normal for it to work that way (pushing in to accelerate) and if so, is there a reason for it? You come across as though you actually fly? Sorry for the confusion :)

@@Pilot0083 Ahhh I would love to bro. But a few years back I wrapped myself around a telegraph pole after coming off my motorbike and wouldn't be able to manage flying anything for real. I had my left arm reattached at the elbow amongst other things) and it's weak as hell now. I trust myself on a sim but not in the real thing :) Good luck to you though buddy!!

Got a refund on my V1 yoke, was nothing but trouble. Right hand buttons crapped out. Had it fixed, returned then same issue again

I’m confused on why you used trim to flair the aircraft on short final.

Not to rain on your parade. It looked off that’s why I asked. I can tell it wasn’t real world procedures. You were coming in just fine angle wise before trim. I mean yeah you were a little high but wasn’t bad. 👍🏼👍🏼But flaring at 20 feet is too late. You’ll smack the mains like you did in this landing. The recommendation for the flair on the airbus A320 family is 30ft. Also recommended to flair even earlier than that depending on winds. Just trying to help. Anyways, Do you have a real pilot license or do you just sim??

@@Pilot0083 yeah there’s always something to learn on each aircraft. Especially if you’re flying more than one type. I’m always learning myself. I’m always a student. That’s awesome that you are working on your PPL. You’ll have so much fun when you get to fly those solos! How far are you trying to go with your licenses?When I did my training I was so nervous and excited at the same time! Rn I have a CPL & IR and I’m working on my CFI

@@Pilot0083 in the airlines you’ll mostly fly the visual being backed by the ILS. Meaning you’ll be cleared for the visual but still fly the ILS. For myself personally. I always hand fly the aircraft down. Even when the ILS is set up I’ll just keep my scan going and follow the glide slope and localizer down.

I always land my jets manually. That's because the yoke is designed for flight. The joysticks are still basically arcade and jet flight sticks, not for commercial aircraft

A320 beg to differ as it uses a stick. Boing 373 also has a “stick” system on its yoke. Sticks are not only for arcade.
