I listen to deep house, soul, hip hop and yet BJTM is my most played on Spotify. Its strange. The music is so emotive and moves me everytime, yet how do you explain this. Its a little messy, vocals are imperfect and yet i love it

My favorite BJM song but really there are so many excellent ones. When they do this live, the drums are a bit more retrained than the original Methadone track with Graham Bonnar doing press rolls. But Dan Allaire knocks out some beautiful drum rolls on the snare.

Its the guitars……makes them soooo good. Even their guitar techs are stupid good. Its the cascading guitars, and the changing of rhythm to lead by each guitarist, they alternate and switch and when its done well……well its done fucking well. Modeled after the early rolling stones which gave them unique sound and success. I always assumed thats why they had the nod to Brian Jones in the name of the band, or the nod to Their Satanic Majesties the rolling stones album name. I cant think of many other bands that could pull that off.

In this song he sang like Mark Hollis from Talk Talk. The thing that surprises me about Bjm is that all the songs on an album are of high quality. Other bands make an album with half quality songs and the other half put in just to finish the album.
