This was the first song of the set in Sydney June 2018. I am a musician and I listen to lots of music of different types. I also know immediately when I am emotionally affected by something I hear. In the room at the gig that I was at, I am pretty sure that by the end of the solo, everyone felt like they had floated off into a surreal world then landed back again, it was that profound. Look at the looks on the crowd's faces. This is why people put up with Anton being a w***er.

@@stevelewis6341 why? It is my opinion, I’m not claiming to be a critic, But, if you look at their catalogue, one could argue they are the greatest, pure rock and roll band of all time. Never in it for the fame, or the money, they did it for the pure chaos, and love of rock and roll.

You feel a love Well you better love yourself Be careful now Because love is against the law Just so high you could give a fucking shit about the law It's with your blood, sweat and tears to be living at all You fight the lies Everybody tries to tell you you're dead It flashed before your eyes before anybody had said The motherfuckers never stop drilling holes in your head You want life Oh but then you die so slow Hands up drop the gun Get shot, you're dead and that's the whole of the law You close your eyes to look at the lies And then you see it all A freeze frame lasts forever but the picture is small They say that love is everywhere and that's the damned disdain Hits in your eyes And butterflies are part of everything The cloudy skies The fog in your eyes The will that lets you see A chance to fall And hear the call And grab the magic ring Don't be surprised when you wake up and tell you you're dead You'll find that hope is the same as nothing as all The motherfuckers never stop drilling holes in your head And maybe now as you're starting to sink You'll wake up and remember the words to your song Maybe now as it's starting to sink you'll wake up to discover you're singing along

The bjm will go down as the last great rock'n'roll band that never quite seamed that great when they existed it will be some delinquent kid in some far flung country well away from there hometown of San Francisco and he will dig up the fossilized remains and mine it for all it is worth they really are the Grateful dead rather than the velvet underground this is the true essence of a cult band that continues to struggle and fight against the tide of product they are pastiche they the first really post modern band by that I mean they are aware the the music they reinterprete and acknowledge it they make a statement in doing so they say rock'n'roll is dead all its tropes and structures have been established and there is no where to go but back ,may they continue to brawl and crawl thier way across the world playing this hypnotic reminder that all things must end...and instead of pretending that is not arrived they move towards like to Ingmar Bergman like Fried like all human beings of any worth with awareness and and fragility of an eyelid...

That's how they do things...it comes with the BJM territory. It's not going to be like Miley Cyrus where everything is programmed and happens in order. It's shambolic and frustrating and sometimes boring and extremely human, and then, amazing.
