I have a Blue 2013 A4 Manual with sport suspension. They told me I can't get a manual anymore. My current car is a blast to drive. I would have bought a new car in the next couple of years but now I will drive my car at least 5 more years. Will not buy automatic transmission until absolutely have to. Don't actually understand why Audi of America won't let Audi do limited runs of manuals just for people who special order manuals but I suspect it has to do with US laws - I think the manual is considered a completely different vehicle from the automatic and that Audi has to completely get it certified separately from an automatic. What nonsense.If the third pedal cuts off your foot in a crash in Europe they would have to fix it - how is that different in US? Of course even Europe is getting Americanized they are buying automatics over there now.

I bought a manual and now wished it was an Automatic...Or at least a semi auto, I used to have a Cruze diesel, that was actually fine as a manual, even in 2nd the car would pull away from a stand still and I never had to change gears that much, usually always pulled in whatever gear it was in. My new B9 A4, once you're below say 10mph in 2nd, the car feels as it's gonna stall, need to put it into 1st before it actually gets going.

Nah it really isn’t. It’s a fringe group. He said it in the video himself, no one bought it. I get not every manual driver is going for this car or even a brand new car at all. Less than 2.5% of sales are manuals.

They may have made 40 with that package but they made more with a manual transmission. I ordered my 2018 manual A4 in June 2017 as did others.

Its weird to see that manuals are so rare in the U.S. My parents actually have a a4 manual and it’s pretty normal in Europe. Same goes for all the other cars. 50% of the cars here are manuals.

This is smoother than the Golf R. But the Golf R feels much faster. That's why I ended up with the A3 prestige. I sold my A3 for a Chrysler 300 Hemi.

It’s kind of silly that Audi reserves the leather stitching on the door handles and arm rests for just this one and the Prestige trim. It’s that type of cost cutting in materials that’s let Mercedes-Benz surpass them in perceived quality.

Mercedes C class is made in Alabama. They pulled airmatic for 2018 and when the C class came out, they had to replace upholstery due to an issue with plasticisers. Perceived quality is different from actual quality. For instance, a Genesis may be perceived as good as a 7-series or S-class, but I'd rather have a Bentley.

He is partially wrong, of course. The model he tested here is an A4 Ultrasport, of which 40 were made. Audi produced some 1236 A4 manuals for 2018. Mine is Matador red, of which there are only 31. So technically speaking, you will be more likely to see one like he tested, than like mine. Yes I have the sport suspension, making it rarer still. Also walnut trim, that has not been offered with sport package since.

A5 manual for that year is actually rarer, only 563 for the whole year.
