It doesn't matter. The MMI version only mattered for the OEM retrofit. This works with all MMI2 A6 from 03-09 without the media button. Media button is MM3 2010+

Not but I can add CarPlay or Android Auto to that radio for about $1000. The unit includes a backup camera input so for an extra $300 I can also add a backup camera.

My mmi reads "device fault whenever I try to use the CD player. Will this affect the install of this product?

I know this is late must have missed the notification but I'll answer for others information. It shouldnt matter. Even if you have a bad CD Changer you can always just take it out.

Great video. Thank you. It was exactly what I was looking for. A few questions before I order though: 1) When setting your dip switches, you said to not set switch #6 if the car has factory bluetooth. Does that mean BT Calling or BT streaming? My car has the first, but not the second, which is what I want most from this unit. 2) If the unit does support bluetooth streaming, does it display meta data and controls on the car's screen, or is it all done through the phone? 3) Is this unit (fully) compatible with the Iphone 6? Thanks for your help.

I know this is late must have missed the notification but I"ll answer for others information. 1. 6 turns off the dension phone feature so it doesnt interfere with your factory phone. 2. Displays song name through BT and song up and down controls also work. 3 Fully compatible with 6 and 7 (current)

Thanks. Same unit. I reccomend looking on yelp. We do not reccomend shops becasue installers come and go.
