Hubby and I faithfully watch your KZbin videos. This one was very very informational. I luv it when your Beautiful Wife, Dad and Mom are in the videos with you. Going to miss Mary and glad your dad bought Casino and he is their for good. Thank your dad for the info you should take Casino out in open water then get on him keep him in until he quits fighting or trying to get out keep him their for at lease one hour a day until he gets uses to it then lay the reins across the horses neck let them lead. That is how I did with some horses . Yes would love to hear more of horse care that would be interesting . Thank you Brook for info on your two horses it’s nice to see the owners with their horses.

Ok this is a 5 star video because the information is spot on helpful and interesting. I grew up with horses, mules etc so I know a bit about the care of them , with that said it was mares for me didn't care for the special hygiene needed on occasion for geldings and stallions. What a fantastic job your stable does for the horses, it's amazing. Thank you for sharing.

Give your dad big hugs for us, we would have missed Casino terribly. I am so glad your dad bought him. I had a young mare that had been abused when she was a foal. The ONLY way I was able to approach her without her running off was walking backwards towards her butt & walk towards her head & then I could put a rope around her neck & she was fine. My oldest was 5-6 yrs old at the time & he could approach her from all directions, he was learning how to ride & she got spooked at a noise while he was on & she just froze. He was the only one who could get her to move afterwards. I've had more kid preferred horse's then adult preferred. Lol

Joel I watch a video on KZbin of a wild colt who was all alone because his herd left him. He must have been left for weeks cause you could see his ribs. They took him home, fed him and fixed him up cause he was a little battered. You should have seen how happy he was. I wanted to send you the video, I trued, but couldn’t do it. He was so cute. I loved him right away. Wish I could have him, and I wish I could sho him to you. So cute, and sad.

Also Joel, I first learned to ride beer back on my grandpa‘s farm. I have a question how old do you stop riding horses. Some people tell me I need to stop writing, but I can’t and it makes me happy to ride. I don’t have a horse of my own but there’s a horse at a stable near me that I love. I don’t want to stop Riding. How old should you start riding. Also I should mention I had a hip injury playing baseball with some kids hours nanny, yeah by the way I’m a nanny. I just don’t want to stop riding.

Another helpful tip: Horses are like girlfriends....you have to spend a little time getting to know each other before jumping on 😉 Groundwork keeps you off the ground 👍 it also helps to read that body language. His lips were pursed, ears pinned back and he's looking back at you when you put your hands on his back. That meant, "I'm having none of this today." 😊 I love watching horse behavior.
