Here is my birdpoop story. I was pushing my bike up a hill on my way to school and a bird pooped on my forhead, hand and hand handle on my bike. Had to return home and take a shower. Luckily I wasn’t even 5 minutes from home. But I did get to school late and my teachers was angry until I told them what happened. Boy they and my classmates laughed at me for days.

We dont use fertalizer since we have a bunny that eats the grass all year round. Alot of fertalizer also goes into our Ground water or the sea creating dead zones. So we wont use it for these reasons.

Why are the boards you are nailing to the uprights not flush with the ones next to it? It seems by putting them together, they would be stronger & less chance of them shifting. . I hope it's not a foolish question.

It really amazes me the amount of equipment and tools you and the Veggie Boys have on the farm and at tthe stables. Is there anything left to get? Something fairly inexpensive that is fairly easy for your fans to get you?

That barn is moving along wonderfully. May I suggest that Sunny Knoll Stables and The Veggie Boys invest in Knee pads!!!? You are not on your knees like someone laying carpet, however I think all of you would benefit from wearing them or at least having them in the barn or farm market for when you do need them. I can not believe it is almost 4 years since A Stable Life was born. Congratulations! You have an amazing channel. I have been here since episode 1. I have no intentions of leaving until I am pushing up Daisies or you stop making videos. See you in the next one.

Hi Joel. we have -2° C here in Germany and snow. It is freeeezin lol. Just watched a video on an Amish barn raising. No power tools and they use wooden nails. It was amazing to watch.

I was going to suggest that Joel round up a few of his Amish neighbors to do a barn raising 😊 I’m heading to Germany next week to visit family and go to some Christmas markets. Made sure I bought a warm jacket !

I'm sorry I'm a bit confused , when you first started talking about building this barn you said you had so many people to help you but all the videos I've seen so far You're lucky to get two people to help you what happened? Also is your stable just barely getting by financially that you can't get professionals to help you build this? I'm not just talking about building the barn itself but bringing in temp help with the stable so you could focus more time on building the barn yourselves and other things that need to be done around the stables.

I dont think you really need to dig dirt on the bottom rungs for it doesn't seem necessary. In fact, when wood (regardless of being pressure treated) will rot sooner when it makes contact with the ground dirt. Your more concerned to keep the second and succeeding others level because the bottom 2x6 is only one of many stabilization planks. The critical ones are the upper ones which are combined with rafters across from one another. But kudos for your day of hard work digging.
