AA has such high part breaker values to it, backing up a full burst/WF combo with Artillery Expert you're going to drag most anything out of the sky. Remember nailing a Raging Brach mid-jump and causing that midair flinch.

I actually got two questions, Why did you use AA Flare 1 trough the whole video, is there a benefit to it, or did you just not unlock the other variants Do you have the guardpoints because you have valor? It seems like the guardpoints are on the reloads afterall

AA Flare 1 recharges faster. Later levels recharge WF faster and do 1.05x / 1.10x damage. If you want to lock your gauge in red for longer, Flare 1 is more useful for keeping it there and you'll have more Flares per hunt due to faster charge. Flare has a guardpoints on both the starting reload and finishing reload regardless of style, but Valor was giving him the guardpoints on the normal reloads otherwise.

Yes is exclusive to valor. When valor is active you will do it after a poke or with valor stance -> shell. You know you are doing it right by the blue color

I will give you the skill priority list. Old MH games have the thing where your decoration decides what build do you end running. If you have better or worse decos you can go for one or another. Basically it is: Artillery 15 Guard 15 Load up 10 (use akantor helm or barrage earrings) And then, sheath speed, sharpness, guard up and mind eye are all good to use. Search Athena's armor set builder for finding combinations. I usually end running a combination of battle chest, high metal coil and a combination of hermitaur and konchu parts depending of what is available at my rank. After the final boss, I use a ankla ka build because the flexibility and good defense. More defense, less chip damage when guarding heavy attacks.

I think it's cool as well. Too bad that because of MHGU's retarded heat gauge mechanic and because Adept and Valor only allow for one Hunter Art each, you pretty much have to prioritize Dragon's Breath III for Gunlance over anything else in order to have decent clear times if you're using those styles (and those are the only two styles I use for GL in MHGU). Also, I'm laughing at 1:15 because Yian Garuga immediately did an insta-run after recovering from the flinch without any start-up frames whatsoever. Classic bullshit Garuga.

The very worst thing. I still love it. I am good in world by virtue of getting through all old games with it. This being said, gl is actually fine until you reach the endgame and stops upgrading shells levels. This being said is not hard to reach G3. I have repelled the fatalis trio with it.

If you have guard up you can guard the farts and avoid the status. Is an annoying thing of MHGU. You need guard up to avoid the status from attacks when guarding.
