10 years March 1st. By the Grace of God. AA saved my life. I keep it green. I need to live these steps for the rest of my life, and I love it! When no one else wants you, you're perfect for AA. You got a new sub here. Hello brothers and sisters from Australia. Love and blessings from Pennsylvania, USA. God does for me what I can't do for myself.

Hello there from California. Well said. Step one and I like the 4th step inventory. Your videos remind me of my early sobriety.

I'm in Al-Anon and Nar-Anon. I struggle with Step 1 because I can't just cut off all contact with the addict.

My first wife was powerless over my alcoholism. No matter how much she begged, no matter how much she nagged, no matter how much she threatened, no matter how much she loved me, she couldn't stop me drinking. And that was because I was powerless over alcohol. No matter how much I wanted to, no matter how many promises I made, no matter how hard I tried, no matter how much I loved her, I couldn't stop drinking on my own willpower. I needed to tap into a power greater than myself.

The Second Step of the AA program is to believe we can recover. I like this quote - "We have recovered, and have been given the power to help others." AA Big Book p132
