They didn't sleep on them at all, BoA and DBSK were at the forefront of k-pop expansion overseas starting with Japan and China and they endured all the prejudice and xenophobia until they conquered the hearts of overseas fans and made it easier for the following groups like Bigbang, KARA and others to promote there, they also had their age of awards in the mid 2000s. But because k-pop (pop in general) is something for teenagers they'll only know the history of their generation. But yeah if BoA and DBSK didn't face all the hardships for kpop to be know in China and Japan, so many groups including bts would all have a diferent reality today.

When he was a member of TVXQ, he and other 2 members had a lawsuit against SM. As the result they were blacklisted as singers. They are not allowed to be broadcasted at Korean TV channels . Luckily KZbin and other internet platforms replacing those useless channels.

The song Mine was made for events like this award ceremony. “Don’t come here this is my ocean I am afraid that this place will be tainted as well It is my ocean This is my ocean Don’t try to block the sun that shines on me” SM blocked him from pretty much all broadcasting activities and appearances after leaving the agency. They (JYJ) were blacklisted in Korea for SEVERAL YEARS. The fact that Jaejoong performed this at AAA is a huge deal. Things are shifting. Hence, the song Mine is very fitting for this event. Jaejoong won’t let his red ocean be blocked by a shitty company like SM anymore. I’m very proud of how far he has come. A brave, positive and strong soul he is!

Now THIS is what you call an outstanding LIVE performance; second gen artists truly on a whole different level with Kim Jaejoong as an absolute top-tier vocalist and performer. Idols these days lip sync to the back track while using their mics to only do adlibs to appear as "live" but no, that's not a quality performance.
