Dude, I've been testing this ammo since its release. It's amazing. Like ridiculously amazing for the price. The muzzle velocity and the accuracy have been truly impressive for me. This has been across different lot numbers from what I can tell as well. EDIT: I'm a little shocked by Buffman's numbers. Even out of an 18" barrel I've been averaging 2704 fps. I managed to grab some velocity readings of this ammunition out of my 16" AR today. For this ammo using the SMKs, I managed to get 2696 FPS with a 10 round average with an extreme spread of 74 and a standard deviation of 21.41. I don't think I've seen it on your channel yet, but I'd like to see what you get using AAC's 77 grainers using their own OTMs. Consistency for the rounds seemed all over the place, average velocity of 2673 but with an extreme spread of 138 and a standard deviation of 45.12. To me IMI is the hottest load out of the 77 OTMs. I recently ordered a box of black hills 77gr OTMs and the quality is better with IMI. Thanks for doing this test with multiple barrel lengths. Maybe I need to tone down my 75 grain reloads with CFE223 since I'm using it with a 16" and my best accuracy has been right around the 2,500 fps mark. Which is pretty close to what you averaged with this factory ammo out of the Helion. I've gone faster, but the accuracy drops with the ball powder. RMR makes a good cheap 75 grain projectile. I'm not sure if you added the audio enhancements to the final take but I could hear the trigger let off on all the semi autos. And yeah the bullpup sucked!

The microphone pics them up very very well. When I wear a coat, it acts like a sound funnel and enhances the trigger reset :D

Is AAC supposed to be the ammo plant that Palmetto was supposed to be setting up?
@BuffRANGE2 жыл бұрын
Yes. Well AAC is the ammo plant that the holding company that also owns PSA set up and is running :D

I heard an audible difference through my headphones from 1st and 2nd barrels, the 3rd had a deeper crack than the 2nd. I switched to a different pair of headphones and the different in audio perception compared to my old ones is STARK

Sorry about that. Some of that is because barrel 1 has a linear comp/blast diverter that throws the sound to the front. The second gun has a muzzle brake on it, so it's going to make more noise. The third gun has a flash hider on it, which doesn't really direct sound too much. Add the coat that acts like a channel to the mic, and they can sound different. :D

@@BuffRANGE All good man, I normally listen through a pair of BT earbuds but since they died I switched over to my crossfade wireless 2's (V-Moda, I'm an audiophile 😂) And they project sound "around" more so than just straight into your ears. Other shooting videos I'd listen to with my earbuds- the shots would all sound like a generic shot; I was noticing the difference with the headphones because I haven't used them in awhile. What you said adds credence to what I heard though, I figured those things (except the coat, I wasn't thinking of where the mic was 👀) were effecting it
