Nithya Sree Mhadevan is a classical phenomenon of a stunning stature, shining like a beacon among the younger generation Carnatic vocalists. She has the blood of the century’s great music maestros coursing through her veins - the mridangam maestro Palghat Mani Iyer, her maternal grandfather and the living legend in Carnatic vocal music Dr.D.K.Pattammal, her paternal grandmother. Although the finer nuances were taught by her grandmother, it is remarkable that Nithyasree has carved out a distinct style for herself and emerged as a serious artiste.
Gifted with pleasing voice that moves with liquid smoothness over three octaves, Nithyasree maintains perfect command over intricate and enticing rhythm patterns in her rendition of Swaras.

I have heard this song sung by Pithukuli Murugadas more than 1000 times through Walkman cassete player. But, This version of song is no where close to Original song. Here, Music is dull and Madam is singing the song bit faster deliberately. I don't have proper knowledge in Carnatic & Classical music. Therefore, it is unwise to comment here. However, I could not control my temptation to comment here as I have heard this song many time Please, don't get offended, Madam

@@cagebirds7892 Original is original because it was created by somebody and considered as "Bench Mark" With my limited musical knowledge, I can can tell you Pithukuli Murugados, his voice is being coarse (in other words low pitch/note , like sound from frog's croak ) coupled with Sting instrument is to be compared with this lady ( Nithyashree Madhavan) and her high pitch Shrill sound coupled with her Instrument. More over, the Tune of the original song is disfigured at so many places during the entire song.. In other words, modulation of her voice during the delivery of Saranam is very very poor.
