I cannot get enough of 'Bridgerton' or its cast and crew with filming and set stories. What a magnificent project from every angle! On set and off. The production is flawless - the performances, the cinematography, the sets, the music (!!), the costumes, the lighting and even the weather. Everything as a symbol ... down to the jewels on the night of the last dance, sparkling and looking like so much rain, even before the rain fell. But most of all ... the cast and the direction. So many, many flawless choices, flawless moments. I can't remember a time or a film or series where I was so smitten and absorbed and made utterly curious! 1000 thanks!

Aside from the lavish costuming, settings, etc. and unique music blending the past with the present I was overly grateful for the blending of the races I've been married since the 70s and it is a mixed marriage- not common in the 1970s or accepted. This movie accepts interracial marriages and friendships as normal. A refreshing outlook for these times. Thank you.

So sad that Rege sees Simon as “wounded”. He is a survivor. I stutter and now in my sixth decade as such I assure you I may have been hurt and ostracized but I am not “wounded”. I too stopped talking but now do public speaking and always seek the share a compliment with a stranger whenever I am out. Simon is a survivor as am I and so are all who overcome not the handicapable event of a speech impediment but rather overcome the smallness of society in thinking we all need to be alike.
@moicemoice5588
@moicemoice5588 3 жыл бұрын
He meant that Simon was wounded by the trauma of being unwanted by his father. His mother was dead at the time of his birth and so for the most time, he lived his life alone. In this context, his stutter was the least of his challenges.
@angelashock9837

Not wounded because of his stuttering, but wounded by the indifference and almost hatred from his father.
@dawnbosek1807
@dawnbosek1807 3 жыл бұрын
He didn't mean wounded because he stuttered. He was disowned by his only parent, who said he wasn't good enough to be his son. His father called him an idiot right to his face when he was just four years old. When you seen him as a child, he was always by himself, with some teacher standing over him. Had it not been for Lady D. he probably would not have been shown any love, and compassion at all. It's hard to love anyone, or be loved by anyone if you weren't really shown love in your life. It's hard to connect with others, when you never really had that connection to begin with. That's what he meant by being wounded.

@@sandrahorizon9342 Don't believe these stans. You're comment was correct. He's a mediocre actor. They are caping for him because he is good looking. They are delusional. And blinded by the soft porn scenes they saw on Bridgerton. The show was trash!, They don't care about his acting,. His role in Roots was a fluke. His work has been downhill ever since. He now has not worked in 2 years since his "big come up"!. He's 2021 moment. No other roles on the horizon. This was suppose to be his big break, more like a fizzle after Bridgerton. His role in the Gray Man was considered the worst performance by many credible critics. He's suppose to have a Tv series and another movie "pre-production". HW knows that if any projects are in "pre=production", that does not mean work. He's almost 35 years old and his resume is very short and is not being hired. He's now an unemployed pretty boy making living as s=a spokesmodel for cologne and automoblie ads. I'll give him 2024 or 2025 until he's forgotten and back to obscurity.

Too bad it has almost none lgbt representation! I hope they fix that next season because they say that they wanted to create a show where everyone can relate themselves to. Well for a gay man like me that was not the case this season. The lgbt representation was extremely not present. It was sooo straight and the gay content that was in it was only 3 minor scenes that dont last 3 minutes together. :( I hope they will explore it more with Benedict next season. Because if they want this world to reflect modern day society and cast people of color in high society roles, they can also implement a proper gay romance storyline.
@zuzu5683
@zuzu5683 3 жыл бұрын
Let's just give them some time ? You can't put everything in just one season. The first season is about Daphne as the first book of the series. And you can already seen the LGBT aspect with Benedict and Eloise. The girls in the first season knew nothing about sex and sexuality, Benedict was introduced and shocked to see 2 man having sex. So it would be a rush to put lgbt content just for the sakes of lgbt contents. It's a journey.
@rutgerdejong1700
@rutgerdejong1700 3 жыл бұрын
@@zuzu5683 thats completely fair AND true. You shouldn't rush these kind of storylines. But I do hope they will explore a storyline like that more in the next season and not drop it completely now that they've put Benedict in the modistes bed. It would be a real shame if they dropped it.
