I'm picky. 😜 No, but I honestly think that Regé is a wonderful combination of wits and charm. He's not arrogant, like many actors are (even though they try to disguise it). And he seems to be such a kind-hearted man. The world needs more of that.

I fully agree. I think it’s a great portrayal of how many men’s warped ideas of masculinity get in the way of them being open, vulnerable and honest. I wish they didn't have a baby so soon, (hopefully, the baby scene is just a time jump) it would have been better if they would have extended the "convincing Simon to have a child" for another episode or two as I would like to see a Simon's character have a stronger arch through the compassion and love that Daphane has for him. Want to see more on how her love would win over him and of course, would love more steamy love scenes between Simon and Daphane. LOL!

Yeah! I wish they had more time to explore him learning the lesson Daphne was trying to teach him in that last little speech at the ball and in their bedroom. She was trying to convince him that having children isn’t a factor of her love for him. Him being being perfect isn’t a factor of her love for him. She loves him regardless. She was trying to tell him that he needs make having children a part of loving her, to make it his choice, and not something he has to do to earn love.

I really enjoyed this interview. It was hilarious. It was the best I have seen. Her questions were so in depth and she wasn't afraid to go there. I still love seeing Rege so shy and bashful about those scenes. I'm a little more private in discussing those things. Rege always gives eloquent, relevant insight about Simon. I like it when he talks about false pride and vulnerability. I appreciate it. I think Daphne and Simon end up having five kids.

I hope Rege is ready for superstardom because it is his for the taking. Smart, funny, nice, charismatic and insanely beautiful, he's got everything. And although I've read the Duke & Daphne don't appear much in future books, the producers would be absolutely NUTS to not feature him a lot in future episodes. Rege is the breakout star of the series and they know it. Actually, he's going to get so many other offers, maybe Bridgerton willl have to let the Duke go anyway. lol LOVE HIM!

I have to say, I actually thought the weakest part of the script was his evolution from not wanting to have kids to agreeing to it. Daphne's was clear (finding the letters, talking to her mother, etc.), but his felt very rushed and hard to believe. I wish they had taken the time to show it the way he describes it here (and this is an issue with the script, not the acting), it would have made the last episode so much more powerful IMO

One kinda seed why. After watching some videos multiple times I figured it was A) because his father wanted the line to continue, so he refused just to spite his father. B) he maybe thought he wasn’t perfect, ergo didn’t deserve to have love and children, even if he wanted to. And it felt to me, that he understood in the end one doesn’t have to be perfect to feel/have joy/happiness and that that was why he then was ready to have a baby, bc he understood that. And bc he saw that he’s denying himself happiness just to spite his father who was dead anyway

One of the things the show leaves out from the books is his deep down fear that he will produce a child that also has speech difficulties and that he doesn't want the kid to go through what he went through. I think adding that would have given his behavior more understanding as to why the need to not have children was so strong.

Nice to see an interview with Regé alone. Much needed as he is a deep thinker and needs the space for a one on one conversation. His wife (or significant other) would have to be a very deep thinker like him and not a superficial girl. He is 30 and not interested in dating and I believe it is because he didnt find his match yet... on an intellectual level! Or like all African men (raised in Africa by an African Mother), he may get himself an African as Idris Elba did. 👑😍

You all probably don't do much social dancing, but what he said about being able to flirt and be close during the dance is also true today. Check our couple dancing in your area and learn to dance. It is so much fun, and innocent, and great exercise! I hope Post-covid we see Regency dance lessons to teach us the dances from the series!

In the books, Simon and Daphne have 5 kids, interestingly, their first born was a girl not a boy as in the show and the boy is their fourth Child....I love that they changed it for the show.

@@mikeeolivar9958 They show up in one chapter in the next book. They play a game with Collin, Antony and Antony’s new love interest. They are just mentioned a bit in the other books. Each book focuses on each Bridgerton kid. My guess is that Netflix will not want to pay them very much and will only show up once in a while.

@@mikeeolivar9958 Thanks to a second epilogue added to The Duke and I, we know that they go on to have 5 children, they don't come up much in the other books except in a game but, with the way the show already deviated so much from the books, I really think they will continue to appear but, their love story won't be the main focus, which is a bummer because they anchored the show for me, I want more of them.
