🙏😭I am based in USA Chicago, I was born and brought up in Mumbai Bandra / Andheri and I would like to say that..this was the most wonderful tribute to our DOORDARSHAN..and one word to these beautiful ladies ..say to say if Rinni had that metro voice quality..Sarla had that softness of town girl and Salma Sultan that nostalgic cultural background she came from...Gitanjali Iyer the confident Bombay girl..Shami Narang amazing voice..Dolly Thakore.. Grammar at its perfect. We miss all those wonderful days. My regards to all those other respected News Reporters the face of India.🙏 whom we miss today.

Sarala Maheshwari was my dad's favourite. I think he had major crush on her, he couldn't admit in front of his children..😂. He used to go ga ga over her. She was so beautiful, calm and simple. I used to love English News Reader because we couldn't speak fluent English. We were so excited when Rini Simon became Rini Khanna. Assuming it was inter faith marriage therefore a love marriage. Such childhood nostalgia.. 💕

DD had the best News Reporters/ Anchor, Mature & Beautiful. I used to "Watch" them, not listening the News. Shobhana Jagdish was my Dream Girl. Ved Prakash had a niche. I will never forget the "Blank Face" Salma Sultan, with her rose in hair. Meenu, another beautiful girl with great english accent.
