I love all three of these ladies for different reasons: Aaliyah was BEAUTIFUL, had a killer falsetto, could dance her ass off and had the best stage presence of all three. Brandy has got the most amazing control over her voice and listening to her sing is like watching Leonardo da vinci create a masterpiece. It's just a work of art. She just sings beautifully. And her acting skills -- have you watched her guest appearance on Drop Dead Diva. whew. I would love to see her in the remake of The Bodyguard. It would be sooo amazing. And on Dancing With the Stars and Brandy in Africa she showed her dance skills. She's my favorite artist hands down.

Yes you are right about Monica not being as succesful.Brandy and Monica did start to fall of by the early 2000s At around 2000 to 2001 Aaliyah was in "Romeo must Die" and had a # 1 hit with "Try Again" so her career was jump starting. But remember when her Aaliyah album was released in July 2001 sales for the album was slow and the first single "We Need a Resolution" was not a commercial success. It was not until after Aug 25th when sales started to pick up.

Can we be real? Anybody who was around in the 90's would acknowledge 3 things: Brandy was the polished one with the most success. Monica was best raw singer. Aaliyah had the most style. Each had something unique to offer. As a Detroit kid, I have to admit Aaliyah got way more love after she died. Black communities always loved her, but she didn't have Brandy or Monica's commercial success. Her death was tragic, and she was on the verge of a global takeover... but she wasn't there yet.
