Aaliyah had so much sex appeal, she knew exactly how to incorporate that in her music and not make it raunchy and too extra. She always kept it classy..but sexy at the same time.

Aaliyah hit it right on the nail when she covered this song with her smooth and jazzy voice. Long live Aaliyah--we all love and miss you.

This is the kind of song you play while enjoying a cup of coffee early in the morning in a big city during the 90's. that's what I'm thinking every time I'm hearing this song. thumbs up if you agree! :)

This song is the freaking best ! I can listen to it every day and wouldn't get tired of it !

Not too many artists can do a remake of an old school classic and make it their own and I must say Aaliyah did a very good job with the song. I miss u ma. Another talented artist taken from us way too soon. An absolute ANGEL.

The sing is the business. I heard it for the first time while cruising in the car with my baby. I'll never forget the first time I heard it. I could listen to this song everyday.

Why can't people Love Aaliyah AS WELL AS the artists of today??? I Love and Miss Aaliyah and it's not because she's better than everybody, it's because she was a great artist. THat's all that matters to me...

It would be SUPER NICE to have more R&B songs like this. This song os a MAJOR classic. I used listen to this song at least three to five times a day when I was younger, and still appreciate and love this song to this day...especially the old school side. Both Aaliyah and The Isley Brothers are major favorite music artists of mine in R&B! Aaliyah, I miss you dearly, and will always miss you...

one thing i like about aaliyah is that her songs were sexual yet had class to it. it was something i feel grown ups and teens can listen to and both relate. i personally dont think anyone else besides Michael Jackson could have done that. and the fact she was only a teen herself show how much talent she had at a young age. R.I.P x333

@ccbs82 To be honest I prefer this version more than the original, her voice just does something 2 me.And also the Isley Brothers loved Aaliyah they gave her their blessings in remaking this and many other songs of theirs, At you best, old skool-between the sheets(sample),and let me down easy. Ron Isley once said when she first passed- "We were devastated. We loved Aaliyah," said the Isley Brothers' Ronald Isley. "She loved us ... she talks about us in all of her interviews."

Some parts of this song sound very similar to "Buddah Lovaz" by Bone Thugs. Buddah Lovaz came out in 94', Aaliyah Choosey Lover came out in 96'. I love both though.

@maylababii9195 AGREE! Your comment is really true. Aaliyah and Michael Jackson could've sung some really explicit lyrics, but it would sound so smooth and classy. Example: Rock the Boat and Break of Dawn (MJ).
