Layne tore me up the most because I could see the heroin killing him over the years. He died a truly slow and painful death. And although his powerful music came from his darkness, the darkness in the end killed him. Layne was one of a kind. I've never heard anyone put that much passion and pain into their voice. It wasn't an image, Layne lived everything he sang about. And the Alice In Chains Unplugged album was the best album I've ever listened to. Everytime I listen to an Alice In Chains song I wish I could go back and tell Layne how his music helped me and so many others through heroin addiction and how he had so much to live for.
