This is something I would do. It turned out lovely, and i love pink with gold.

I think it was the right decision to add the two smaller tiers! I just found my first Wilton year book from 1988 (I was 14)😳 which started my love for baking and decorating! Looking through it was so entertaining! The outdated styles, my goodness! Do people still ask for pillars to separate stacked tiers or a working water fountain? Would you ever consider using an old or outdated design for a cake… if that’s what your client asked for? Or would you talk them into making it more modern? This is kind of a random question, sorry

OMG! I was 3 in 1988 🫣 I have a few old books too, especially for sugar flowers. Personally, I'd love to make an "old style" cake, but only if there is a story behind, such a replicated their parents wedding or something like this. I don't follow trends and will always recommend a timeless design, but if it's intentional - I'm all for it.
