The day my dad bought my brother and I a PS1 my brother insisted on buying this game. I played it a bit and always thought it was crap. Was confirmed when I hired F1 97 from the local video store and saw it was a 1000x better. Honestly looks like 80% of their budget went into Murray's voice and a further 19.99% went into the opening video.

It's well known that Jacques Villeneuve had his name protected and needs another licence apart from the F1 licence to use his name. Grand Prix Manager 1 and 2 also were not licenced to use his name.

Try F1 Challenge '99-'02 it's good and the community is still running 'till this day. You can even play multiplayer with port forwarding or radmin VPN with people across the world. There are also a lot of mods and they keep making mods of recent years. Soon there would be 2021 mod with F1 and F2.
