And with their arch dragon dead, their culture is effectively dead as well, since she's casting aside their old customs. Aaravos pretty much got his revenge complete on Sol Regem since nearly everything he stood for went extinct with Karim's death.

@@summertime6785 Miyana will be a lot better off as a single mom than letting Karin into her twins’ lives. She made some bad choices, which are often par the course for someone who is in a relationship with a narcissist, so I think having had time away from Karim probably mellowed her out and she might begin to form familial ties with Janai. Miyana can also find a new partner and have a stepparent for her twins, and that stepparent would most likely be far less toxic than Karim

Me and my brother got running joke while watching that Aaravos should just crush Claudia in his palm. When karim got into his palm i jokingly clenched my hand. Imagine our collective reaction when Aaravos ACTUALLY did it. Highlight of whole season lol.

Karim was so blinded by an ancient past, prejudice and his ambitions, he even saw his children only as heirs. He failed to realize the EVERY time he tried, he failed miserably. “Those who don’t learn from the past are doomed to repeat it.” And he did every time. He failed to accept the world around him was changing, and he refused to change. Of all the deaths in the show, his was the most deserved.

The shows creators want to do an Arc 3 which is why they left a few things unresolved. So if we want Netflixs to greenlight Arc 3 we will need to shows as much support as possible.

I was shocked when that happened. I thought Karim was going to die redeeming himself. But when he didn't destroy the sun orb and tried to threatened Aaravos I said "No Karim bad idea". After he died I was thinking "You had a chance at redemption but you couldn't let go of your ambition to keep the world the way it was before."

I admit that I cheered at this scene. I had a little hope that Karim might redeem himself just a tiny bit if not out of loyalty to Janai, out of intelligence knowing that his people were in danger as long Aaravos was a threat. The fact that he was stupid enough to think he could bargain, threaten Aaravos or think he would obey demonstrates how much he deserved his fate.
