Just ordered one of these. Loved our SodaStream, but it leaked like crazy because it used canister pressure to hold the bottle in place. The fact that the bottle screws in place is a big bonus here.

I've heard mixed reviews that after 3-4 months the product starts to malfunction. Just saw the video was about a year ago, how has it held up? Do you/your wife still use it frequently or maybe found something better?
@TacoLibreF-CKYT5 ай бұрын
Is it completely metal? All components? Aside from the bottle. Looking for a soda maker that has no plastic. Can the device be used without screwing in the bottle it came with? Wondering if I get one, if I can just engage the soda maker with a a glass bottle that's not screwed in.

Pro-tip, if you want to add more fizz after it farts, only release the handle a bit, not all the way, so it only makes the "pshhh" sound when you're done - this will use less co2!
@RobTi3 жыл бұрын
Can you explain why that is? I'm thinking of getting this machine.
@alkenstein3 жыл бұрын
Adding co2 gas to the bottle at high pressure causes the water to absorb the co2, but there's a valve which limits how much pressure can build up in bottle - when the limit is reached this causes the fart noise and lowers the pressure a bit (releases gas), but it doesn't release all the pressure. Now you have two option, release all the pressure (normalize the bottle to regular air pressure), or increase the pressure again by adding more co2. Doing the latter causes the water to absorb more co2. If you release it, and want to add more bubbles you have to use extra co2 to get the pressure up again before it starts absorbing more. I could be wrong though this is my theory (I''m not a physicist). I've had the Aarke 3 for 3 months and love it so far btw

I ordered one last night. Looking forward to receiving it. I got 10% off total purchase by watching the video on the Aarke site and entering the code VIDEO. Thanks for this review!

Is it compatible with Soda Stream bottle/container? Just wondering in case you have some laying around from when you had the Soda Stream brand.

It is not. We have one laying around, and it doesn't fit.

I use soda stream bottles on my Aarke III with no problems whatsoever. Brains Report is either lying or has a different kind of bottle laying around. Maybe a glass one, cause that one doesn't fit I think.

@@deltawolf Correct - both the Sodastream screw in CO2 canisters and the plastic bottles fit. Sodastream makes dishwasher safe bottles. Also great!

Very good review... Have a few questions....and thank you in advance. 1. Can you use the drink flavors like skinny girl they sell in Marshalls/TJ Max? 2. Can you recommend a drink flavor 3. Confirming the only liquid that can be used is water? 4. You cannot use juice..correct? 5. Did you purchase extra Co2 from Aarke or any company? I'm getting this for the hunny because he 'needs' bubbles in his water...he's realizing soda has to be eliminated. He can drink about 3 soda's a day..It has to be more cost effective...smile thank you again

Enjoyed the review. I barely heard of this product and your review has really sold me on it as an addition to our kitchen. We drink pellegrino glass from Costco but i still think this might be more cost effective.

Why do you compare the pricing to 12 oz cans of expensive, overpriced LaCroix beverages? How does the price compare to 2 Liter Bottles of generic soda one can purchase at any grocery store for less that one dollar per bottle?

Why do u need to even clean the bottle! It's just water!
@jimlemons10943 жыл бұрын
The Aarke 3 is junk. I bought one, it failed on the second bottle. I got a replacement, it failed immediately. There is an O-ring the won't stay in place. This causes an uncontrolled release of the entire CO2 cylinder.
