I just bought a Nissan Pulsar n15. My hazard lights started flashing, and car would not crank over. Also a OD light between the two hazard lights came on. Also a small red light on the top of steering column started flashing and kept flashing even after I got out the car but the hazard lights kept flashing for about a minute then turned off. Any clues what is wrong?

Never heard of a car this old putting the hazards on haha damn and OD I think is Over drive, yours auto? Check the transmission fluid make sure it's topped up and no white gunk in there which would indicate water. Does it shift alright?

I worked it out. If I keep my finger on the remote too long the remote starts up an immobilizer that someone has fitted. (I don't think it is standard) My car is automatic. I just put tape over the OD light.
