Boones love affair with Ferguson has got to stop. His poor handling of that bull pen, which is the only thing he does on his own as a manager, is horrible. He has no other duty but to hand in Cashman's lineup, yell at the umpires for bad calls, talk to his bench coach and make sure the players don't grow beards or long hair. So...the manager, seeing his troubles his last two outings should have been reading Gil still in a tail spin, as well as his PC, and they decide to bring in the pen pitcher that IMO is the worst guy in the pen in emergency spots? They did that because they didn't want to use up the better pitchers we have, and instead of knowing that, they followed analytics due to the hitters coming up next and well, they crapped out with that decision! Neither will use their instincts and the eye test. Boone is always thinking about tomorrow and gives up today when he does. Been doing that since he got here.He has to go or it is same ol' same ol.'

Look, the reality is that last year they definitely under-performed as a team, and the first 2 months of this season they for sure over-performed. June was another huge underperformance. Just don't think for a second that they are as good as April-May showed, but also don't think they are as bad as June was either. Boone may be a great players manager, but he falls way short in game/situational mgmt. Right now, I'd give Rice a shot at lead-off, followed by Volpe, Soto, Judge, Verdugo, Lemahieu, etc. Hal, I know I would win more games than Boone due to my situational awareness skills that are far above Boone's. And I would do it for free just to prove it!! Call me ASAP, im available.

I think Volpe is just going through a rough patch...he plays with passion and has made some great plays in the field. The guy I'm disappointed in is Wells...I thought everyone was talking about his offense but he is a very weak hitter...I was hoping for at least a .250-275 with 15-20 homers...anything less and he doesn't belong...

I agree with you on Wells . Volpe has not done anything for weeks. In June he hit .220 with a .238 OBP , for the season he´ll probably SO 150 or more times . Not what you want from a leadoff hitter. Right now he´s a below league average hitter 99 OPS+
