And making this video, my dad had a drug addiction for 15+ years and I have had many friends with issues. I normally blame the person at the end of the day, but Aaron Carter really was a crushed person. Turns 18 expecting to see millions after years of work and not getting a proper education, only to get bankruptcy. His parents have real issues.

@@wiggly103 I see your point, but the Aaron Carter is insane over what this man’s family did and I just don’t think he could process he was robbed. The worst part? He could have avoided the IRS debt and kept his 2 million, if he blamed the parents and didn’t.

@Amanda on the Internet and you can best believe his parents more than likely duped him into doing that too. He worked for that money, parents took it, pissed it away, didn't pay the taxes and whatnot, "Oh Aaron, sign these papers so your financial problem goes away, i.e mommy and daddy spent all your money and got in trouble and might go to prison, so again,we need you to foot the bill, and take the heat, yadda yadda yadda", I'm sure you understand what I'm saying. I believe his dad died a couple of years back so guess he's off the hook, the mother, well now she's lost first one child (I believe it was an older sister of the Carter family) then her husband and now her son. You know, if you really stop and think about it, these people wanted fame and fortune, and they got it but at a very great and costly price.

@Amanda on the Internet that's sad it's like you really love your parents and you don't want to see them in trouble but it's really messed up when the parents just Fk over their child completely and then when they end up coming suicide or kill somebody they want to be like " oh what happen why did he turn out that way ..." The fk you mean you completely wrong did your child over and over again as he was getting older and I'm pretty sure somewhere deep down Aaron felt like his parents didn't love him that can really miss a child up! My mom's kind of the same way one of my brothers is suicidal and the other child is in prison for murdering somebody and she can't figure out why none of her children want to talk to her! Sick and sad !!!

@@mattinthehat3 yup... And of course the child loves the mother and father and wants to help and they're naive and innocent and they don't know until they get older. Then it really hits them hard and then the child starts questioning in the back of his mind if my parents even love me at all. I'm sure a lot of that went through Aaron. Then the parents are like " what's wrong , why is he this way !!!" Look how you treated him that's why your child is that way do you not self reflect? Be honest with yourself and say that you did your child wrong and you contribute it to his mental illness and why he is the way he is!

They at least have some protection, look at family vloggers. Those kids have no sense what is content and what is real. They are the real life Truman show. How old will they be when they finally realise that their whole lives have been entertainment for millions? What will happen when they realise their parents were acting and staging situations for views? There are no laws to protect them, not even financially.

I'll always have respect for Aaron Carter my sister was paralyzed from the neck down from ages 11 to 28 when she passed away. She loved him. The nursing home arranged so she could go to his concert & meet him way back when. I found the pictures on the anniversary of her death. Posted them & tagged him on Twitter. He replied. Said she was beautiful. Said he remembered her. Said she had a beautiful smile. Said he was going to show his mom. Gave his condolences. He didn't have to do that but he did. He had a sweet soul. I just wish it wasn't troubled.

Aaron died of addiction caused by toxic Intergenerational, developmental trauma, unhealthy attachment and emotional neglect at the hands of his Narcissistic primal caregivers, who instead of protecting him from a young age, exploited him whilst living off the proceeds 💵💲💰 The damage was done to him from his early developmental stages. To watch him throughout the years was heartbreaking. He was extremely vulnerable and in these past few years appeared tortured inside, with the emotional capacity of the little boy just wanting to be loved. I hope he is at peace now. And then he was pressured by his culture to "forgive" his parents without having administered any consequences, gotten any justice, or achieved any healing whatsoever. This act of repression only served to sever his emotional responses to the hurt they inflicted on him (amd likely continued to do so in a myriad of ways) which had him either believing or at least not challenging the narrative of him they used to "justify" their abuse. His cosigning on their ideology and not standing up for himself in any meaningful way had him tolerating a tremendous amount of abuse which he increasingly believed he deserved, so most of the time he'd inflict it on himself.

15%? Should be more like 85%. And the union or agency should manage a child actor's funds, not these greedy parents that enslave their kids into show biz
@LilyUnicorn
@LilyUnicorn Жыл бұрын
A union or agency will just skive off the top too. There needs to be a law where NO ONE can touch that money until the child ia 18 and 100% should go to child. The film companies should pay parents plane ticket money and other only bare minimum necessities. Last i checked, it is not the childs job to care for themselves nor support themselves with their own money
@KikukoNguyen
@KikukoNguyen Жыл бұрын
@@LilyUnicorn Relistically that would mean there would be a huge decrease in child actors due to the fact that parents wont be able to afford their child’s career. A lot of child actors don’t come from rich families. When a parent has a child thats an actor they have to invest heavily into their child’s career. Most of that money the parents have to pay out of pocket and it can take a while before their child starts to make real money or get big movie deals. So for a child to keep 100% is unrealistic. You’d literally only see rich kids on tv which is kind of what it looks like now.

And to think this wasn't even the first Carter child to die this way. It was sickening to watch House of Carters and see each sibling regress as soon as their father or mother came around. I firmly believe that Nick only came out the way he did because he was so removed from his family thanks to being in BSB, and even then, he carries the guilt of being the oldest child who was never able to save his family. The entire Carter family is just tragic.

I’m guessing his brother was already an adult? But still that law is BS. 15%? The kids are working, not the parents. It should be 75% the kids get saved for them and the parents should have ZERO hand in it, whoever is hiring the kids, or paying, should set it up and it should be automatic. Look at Jeanette McCurdy, or however you spell it, whose mom did something very similar. What’s very telling is most child actors say they’d never let their kids be child actors cause of what they went through

@@Catherine.Dorian. honestly whats sad is is if Aaron got all the money, he probably would have died even sooner.. He was spending what money he had on drugs anyways. So many people have tried reaching out to him and offering help and he pushed them all away and told them to fuck off. Because his ego was out of control and didn't want to admit that he was wrong or needed help. Some people just refuse any help because they think it makes them weak. That was Aaron.

@@cosmicbilly too true. Look at people who win the lottery, they usually end up either broke, OD or are murdered. There’s some truth to the idea that if you don’t earn the money you don’t appreciate it, like so many celebrities kids (can’t imagine what brats the Kardashians will turn out). Or how many celebrities end up ODing cause they can get anything they want. If you aren’t raised well, have parents who teach savings and the value of money then a windfall is a very bad thing. Also, obviously, some people no matter the upbringing or family they are toxic terrible people. Today seems to breed narcissisms and very entitled ones

I feel like Nick Carter’s having mixed feelings about this. Him and Aaron didn’t have a good connection like they used to. But a moment of silence for the legendary early 00s icon’s passing🙏🏽

Nick’s love for his little brother can’t be questioned, but it’s apparent that their relationship was rocky due to differences over their parents. Unlike Nick, Aaron didn’t have the guts to break the cycle and remove their parents from his life for good, and he also repeatedly refused help. And to make matters worse, Aaron ended up following in the footsteps of his parents and others who abused him when he was younger and became a monster himself as an adult. Nick had little choice but to distance himself from his younger brother to protect his wife and children.

Some parents really do mess up their kids and then when they end up coming suicide or kill somebody they want to act like " oh what happen " ... The fk you mean what happen you fked over your child and did him wrong consistently while he was growing up THATS WHAT HAPPENED!!!!

While I don’t condone suicide or blame his parents for his death, they are a big factor in it. Their need to be better laws against what they did and they should be prosecuted for stealing his money

Aaron Carter is dead because of his own actions. He chose to use drugs… he chose to drink while on medication… he chose to put those things in his body. Why he did it, is 100% irrelevant. It’s not his parents fault. It’s his fault. His parents sound like TERRIBLE, abusive people - and that’s incredibly unfortunate and they should be held accountable for their actions… But when you pour a drink and lift it to your mouth… or you inject, snort, smoke or huff something harmful, the only person who can stop it from happening is yourself… and the only person to blame is yourself. It would’ve been great to see Aaron carter improve his situation.

May he rest in peace 🙏🏼 very heart breaking, to see how the way his own parents took advantage of him and did not show this man love and respect. The music industry is a brutally corrupt industry, and he was alone exposed to that an don top of everything his own parents helped in his destruction and ultimately his death😢 They need to be persecuted for what they did to him!

Nick was a minor when he joined the Backstreetboys. From what I remember he said his mother was the one who managed his finances back then. She also took most of it. When Nick turned 18, he requested them to let him manage his own money. Mama can't milk Nick anymore so that was when she created Aaron. When Aaron's career crashed, she also tried to make money from her daughter Leslie but failed. Sorry, that girl can sing but realtalk, she wasn't a rockstar material who can level up with the likes of Selena Gomez or Taylor Swift.

I agree with you on most of this. But he made bad choices too. He was 34 not 4. I know he got a raw deal and makes me mad enough to chew nails and spit tacks. Parents are supposed to protect and love and provide. Not use, and abuse and cast aside. I feel so bad that he didn't find happiness. I hope he rest now.

As a person in recovery, it’s very dangerous to blame others for the downfall of my life. Once we are adults, we are responsible for our own well-being no matter what was handed to us. It’s our responsibility to seek the help that we need and be willing to take that help.
