I was one of the carpenters that helped build Nicks Bamboo cottage on that property. Their dad was always working doing something, He would stop by and hang out with us on our lunch break. Down to earth nice guy, he would tell us stories about how it was before his kids hit it big and they were pulled into that lifestyle. You could tell he loved his family and was worried about what this fame was bringing with it. In the brief moments I met Aaron you could feel that same down to earth quality. Even amongst the craziness that surrounded him he was always kindhearted; he loved his family more than anything! Heavon has gained a gentle and loving soul, my prayers to his family and all who loved him.

His dad always seemed to have a level head. I remember on Instagram livestreams Aaron talking about his dad being a former Marine and Vietnam vet. You could even see his dads old marine pic hanging on the wall in the background at his old house. Sources say he took his dads death really hard. Meanwhile his mom I think was more messed up. I remember in House of Carters the kids discussing how self absorbed and money obsessed their mom was. Aaron even tried to get her to go to rehab for her drinking, but she refused. I broke down and cried when watching this.. His parents forced him to do this episode of Cribs the day they announced to him that they were divorcing and he was about to lose everything he showed off in that house. This really hit a nerve for me because I was thrown out of the house I grew up in after my last immediate family died, and I lost some things and also left some things behind out of my own negligence. I never got over it, even though I had another home to go to and tried to replace what was lost, it never actually replaces anything. I still have nightmares, flashbacks.. There’s nothing I can do about it now. When Aaron did the interview 2 decades later on how his parents made him do the t.v. show tour the day they told him they were divorcing, and he broke down crying as a 30-year-old man, as though it just happened yesterday, that REALLY hit home for me. Here he was with his own house and his own things and a new life, and it still affected him 20 years later.. There’s a definite trauma that comes with traumatic family change like divorce or death and then getting displaced from your home that DOESN’T GO AWAY. This man was self-medicating because he was in PAIN. Then his father died a few years later and that must have been the cherry on top to finally tip him over the edge. I am so, so sorry Aaron. I only stopped following you on social media right before your death because it was so hard to see you self-destruct with no sign of stopping in sight, but I now know you were hurting so much, and I wish I could have turned back time for you and made your parents choose your well-being over fame and fortune.. Anything that may have saved you. I love you and Rest In Peace angel 💐

This was sadly the beginning of the end for Aaron when he did this on MTV Cribs. After his parents divorced he started going downhill, not only him but his sister Leslie as well who died in 2012 from drug addiction and then his father Gene in 2017. His mom took all his money he made from his career too when he was as big as Justin Bieber of the 90s and early 00s. RIP

Back in the 90s I saw his room (different to this) in a magazine article and there were tons of stuffed animals on his bed. It said he collected them from his concerts. So I was very excited when we went to a concert of him and I threw a stuffed animal... right in the middle of the people in front of us. 😅 makes me wonder if those on the bed in this video were from concerts too.

Its sad to find out that most of the celebs on this show didn't own the stuff they show off. They either rented it or borrowed it and they have to give it back afterwards. Just goes to show that celebrity lifestyle is not all glamorous. It's a shady shady world to be in. What makes it sadder is that There are people who don't realize that or don't care. There are people who are willing to go Into thousands And thousands of dollars in debt just to show people what they think they have but in reality they dont.

Justin Timberlake did an episode at a house about 20 miles from here that made it seem like he was living at when they shot the Punkd at it. It was rented for a bit. Aarons house now is like a nice 2 story in upper middle class. hes in the suburbs about 85 miles from LA in the high desert now. My house is a one story version of the same development. Its more expensive than it should be but the AV is not like LA prices.

I’ve worked in mental health. I was also a Christian preacher, who lost his faith. While being a preacher isn’t rockstar status, it’s still a life in the spotlight. Once you’re in the spotlight, then out of it, all the people who admired you disappear. You go from being loved, to be hated almost instantly.
