I agree. If you follow his story back to the 90's, you'll see he was a very charming and happy kid. At some point he became emotionally broken and was so concerned with peoples perception of him that he came across as crazy trying to prove he hadn't fallen off or wasn't failing or wasn't on drugs. This just gave people more fuel to attack him. Very vicious cycle to be stuck in. The fools gold track was a great record. It showed he had turned the page and didn't need to hang onto the music of the past to be relevant. If he had just kept his head down and focused on his talent, he would have been alright. Even with is clothing brand, he was hand making his love/carter brand of hoodies that were unique and could have been huge if he had scaled up and really put them into production with him as the face of the brand and a factory producing them

LOVE is all he ever wanted. Going on the impulsive podcast he went downhill that’s what planted the seed in his head to get that face tattoo. Than shaving his head. Missing the lime light of his fans, recording himself 24/7 going live. If people wernt going to put him on camera he was going to do it himself unfortunately we all had to watch him spiral. I can’t believe he claimed to be clean for 5 years yet he was huffing, pot, prescription xanex who knows what else. I wonder if Melanie told him to tell the truth. Sad his sister died 10 years ago 2012 in the shower, he dies in the tub. I’m an addict myself I know that when I was on drugs the things I said were awful and that wasn’t me. When Aaron was clean he had a heart of gold when he was on drugs that’s when it heightened his mental illness that’s why I never took what he said seriously. I do hope we get an op, topsy report, of course, they’re going to say it’s drugs. I want to know exactly what he was taking. And it’s sad that the homeless lady he hired had to find him like that the last time someone saw him was Thursday night and to be found in the bathtub Saturday at 11 AM the composition started and the tub water was a different color, so who knows how long he was in there for! So sad..

I hope there's a lesson to be taken from this, and that we as a society learn it. Through all of the pain and false starts, Aaron was a constant advocate for mental illness visibility and de-stigmatization, and I truly believe that is what he would want his legacy to be.

Advocate for mental health? He made fun of people and called them horrible names as well as many other things. He definitely wasn't an advocate!
@JTScott19882 жыл бұрын
Actually the bigger lesson is mental illness can and often does start with the level of trauma in Childhood that many adults succumb to. How can we expect a child to survive it? We can’t. Secondly the blame falls on those who made him as he is and traumatized him so. We need to start holding adults who are responsiblefor kids accountable for how they raise and treat them.

As someone who has struggled with mental health issues, he was never a true advocate. There was never a time where he sat and told the complete truth about anything. People would start calling him out on his lies and he would verbally bash everyone. He got back what he dished out. Never once did I see Aaron be a kind honest loving person in a live stream and receive nothing but hate back. Thats not the way it went. He wanted to get away with his bad behavior and blame it on mental health. no matter what we go through as children we are still responsible for our own actions as adults. Aaron absolutely did not want to be held responsible for his own actions and never once was he honest about his own mental health and the help that he needed.
@JTScott19882 жыл бұрын
@@alys4570 that’s a massive problem right there. Abusers always get off the hook and the kids are left holding the bag and picking up the pieces and when they cannot do so it’s THE KIDS FAULT not the adults who broke their mental. This has to change.

He needed help a long time ago. Why are people now trying to act like they hadn't just thrown him away? That's exactly what they did. He needed help and nobody came for him. He had so much to show us. He learned how to produce and his musical talent is undeniable. It's such a waste and it's not ok. God bless you Aaron, I am praying for you still and I hope you find the peace you deserved so long ago.

You can't help someone who doesn't want help and based on his social media rants and his lives where he argues with followers, rants about his family and lashes out at his fiancée, he didn't want it. He didn't even seem to think he had a problem because in all his stories about his family or when filming himself fighting with his fiancée, he always portrayed himself as a victim and demonized them.

@@crystalb4178 On the surface yes, what you see is what you get. You can't fool another addict though. He was begging for help that never came. He was starting to see that being a father was so much better than all the bullshit. That's an issue with addicts, people see the wreckage we leave and assume that's all there is and that's all we are capable of. If his addiction was as bad as people make it out to be, he would NOT be in his home surrounded by wealth. He certainlywould not have been passing UA's If you aren't an addict or recovering addict...you have no clue how bad it can actually get. No clue whatsoever.

I do feel like he loved quite hard. He needed the comfort of loyal people around him to support him and he could’ve also benefited from ongoing therapy due to a lot of trauma and loss. It’s all so sad for his son, his son is just gorgeous and will never truly know his father.

I didn't realize he was bisexual. They say that a lot of LGBT folks end up idolizing other LGBT folks growing up...and I think that's why I was such a big fan of him. He really helped me get through that period in my life when I was facing homophobic bullying on a daily basis. I used his music to escape. It really saddens me to think he wasn't able to escape in the end. RIP ❤️

Dang I just can’t believe it! When I was 7 years old, I used listened to Aaron’s music like I Want Candy with my sisters before I even knew that he was Nick Carter’s brother! Addiction to drugs or painkillers is really devastating! People can take so much of that stuff without realizing how it can eventually lead some to a dead end! I hope that Aaron is at peace along with being reunited with his sister Leslie and father Robert on the other side! RIP Aaron Charles Carter (1987-2022)

I've seen this guy treat others like absolute garbage for many years. He was such a narcissist and manipulator. I tuned in to so many Instagram lives he did and he was constantly attacking people. Yes, people did troll him back but only because HE is the one who put himself out there for the world and treated every one so badly. Everything that came out of his mouth was passive aggressive, a lie, condescending, or disrespectful. With all that said. I do feel bad that he passed away. I think deep down he was a good person. He got a taste of fame early on and when it all went away he tried recapturing that lifestyle his entire adulthood and couldn't do it. He was a very lonely and troubled soul for so long, and when you mix mental illness and drug addiction it makes people act a way they usually wouldn't act. But it also doesn't make it ok to treat others the way he did for so long. I was hoping he got better but in the end his addiction won. RIP Aaron I hope you're finally at peace

Agreed. He was sober for a short time because of Lina. He has been spiraling ever since but the past year it was FAST! Yes, he has passed but the last year's he was mean AF. Mean, rude, vile. He used people, scammed and lied. Abuaed woman, animals and drugs. He could have gotten better.....it didn't have to end this way but you can't help those who don't think they have a problem.

Yeah we all know Aaron was a hateful and jealous person and said a bunch of nasty things towards people he loved --- but let's not pile on a dead man, OK? I just feel bad because he had a baby son and if he just realized his child was worth getting clean and sober and living a healthy life again --- there is no greater joy than watching your child grow up and Aaron was too imprisoned by his demons to realize that and that is just heart-breaking beyond words
