I was so happy when he was traded to Denver. I'm so happy that Jokić has a workhorse like Gordon, and Gordon has the best passer in the league in Jokić. Also credit to Joker for making Gordon way better compared to his time in Orlando. IDK how tf he was not in All Star game, but revenge for that and slam dunk contest will be even better if they win the whole thing. Go Nuggets!

I hope AG makes All-Defense eventually or even DPOY. He really deserves his flowers for what he does for the Nuggets. IMO he is as much of a complement to Jokic as is Murray. Where Murray adds off the dribble shot creation, AG is an elite Lob Threat, has a strong drive and is an Elite Defender on all levels.

Yes, now that Murray and MPJ are back he has less offensive responsabilities compared to the last 2 years so if he is more focused on defense he might make an All-Defense team.

Agreed. The only criticism I have of AG is sometimes he doesn’t go up strong under the basket when a defender is right there. Instead of dunking or getting a foul call he’ll go up for a layup and get blocked. Durant blocked him like that like 3 times in the last series, and AD got him a few times as well. But I’m really happy he’s on the Nuggets, such a great complementary piece to Jokic.

Agreed, AG is still 2nd best /most-valuable player on Nuggets right now as I see it, even though his name never comes up in analysis lately. He's not putting up the points this playoffs because he doesn't need to. He's doing everything else at a high level instead. And all the points he does get are smart plays and that's forcing defenses to stick a big-man to him like glue, opening the floor more for Jokic and Murray.

Apsolutno.

Great analysis. Fantastic to see Aaron Gordon get some credit because he's often forgotten with Jokic and Murray on the team. Aaron is always working hard on defense, makes excellent cuts to the basket, and has developed fantastic chemistry with Nikola. It's also kind of amusing that Aaron sports the hippie look while Jokic looks like he's been drafted into the army -- but they work perfectly together and seem to be good friends off the court.

I first started paying attention to Gordon’s individual defence in 2019 when the Magic matched up against the raptors. Obviously, Kawhi at that point was extremely good but Gordon showed so much improvement since then

Let’s not forget his personality matches with the Nuggets star! Being a 3 & great flexible defender, all while matching the humble style that is signature Jokic! Chemistry is critical when for deep playoff runs! His contributions allow Jokic to focus on what he’s great at! Look at how humble he was when he got into the scruff with Lebron, you heard no more about it from him! Just the consistent lockdown on Lebron.

As soon as Nuggets signed AG I knew he was a great signing. His defensive presence and athletic offensive game was gonna work great especially with Joker creating plays for him.

AG’s athleticism ain’t just for his dunks he can really move his feet and able to keep up with guards he’s such a value able piece especially next to Jokic

I remember watching him before going to the Nuggets and thinking "Here is a guy who is only worth for highlight reels and the dunking contest" which is not an insult, to do these things requires athleticism that I will never have, but he translated his skill set to be an essential piece of a chip contender. Watching him on the Nuggets is the same highlight reels of before, but with substance. There is motive, and there are victories behind his moves.

That's just roster construction around a awesome player in Jokic where the Nuggets got it right and Orlando not. AG was always this good. Mike Malone and the rest of the Nuggets brought it out

Hope you have the time and inclination to do this for all of the Nuggets players other than Jamal and Jokic, they get enough coverage. I know it takes a lot of time to track through all the film and pull out the examples you want, but it is nice that you're doing it for at least AG. This is the kind of analysis that makes me look to KZbin for my NBA material. Even on here, there is not a lot of true analysis like this.

Gordon is to the Nuggets what Stephan Yelle was to the Avs championship team. Yelle was a real world-class workhorse and that is how I see A. Gordon being on the Nuggets. Hard working, always at the right spot because of his quick, smart thinking and superb athleticism. He'll only get better with his team as it has such deep talent through the bench. They are all terrific and do their jobs well. Please don't ever trade Gordon bc trading Yelle from the Avs was the beginning of the undoing of Avs as a unit. Gordon is fantastic and I appreciate a talented, hard-working athlete who keeps performing at a high level. Keep up the great work and stay healthy, all of you. YEA NUGGETS!!! Every last player has a superb work-ethic and coaching staff should be congratulated for finding players that exemplify this quality.❤ 😊
