@J-Hue7 сағат бұрын
SGA's offensive game is about as unstoppable as it gets. But Houston was able to limit him quite a bit and hold him to a bad fg%, particularly with thr bigger Brooks defending him. One area he can counter that is learning to iso his defender on that mid/high block with the face up game, like Melo, Kobe, and Jordan. From there, a few uo fakes and jab steps can lead to some 1 dribble or even no dribble offense that can earn easier buckets while not havinging to drive into the heart of the defense to get the mid range opportunities. Now, if they double, you can see it coming and make your move or pass it off to the open man. Amd if you attack the rim, you're inky 1 dribble away, making it easier to get rhere before the help defense can arrive.

Shai's super power is shrinking when it matters cause the refs wont gift him 17 free throws a game
@mckinleykj282818 сағат бұрын
Where does this idea that shai shrinks actually come from? It’s not from stats. Shai dropped 32 this game and 39 last game on only 6 free throws. In the playoff series against Dallas last season he averaged 32 8 and 7 on 50% from the field and 55% from three while again only averaging about 7 free throws, which is a decrease in free throw attempts and an increase in pts,rebs, asts, fg%, and 3pt% between the regular season and playoffs. Even if you go back to his playoff series in the bubble. It was his first playoff series with real responsibility and his averages actually went up and he hit a game winner in game 3 vs the rockets. Where does this shrinking thing come from because it’s not based on any real truth.

@ryanamburgy2791 ya fs. Some other teams have great futures too. But the offensive talent of Shai and the amount of good 3 and D wings OKC has is gonna be a problem for everyone, especially when they are winning games without their unicorn Chet. Kinda like what Boston is doing. I just think if they had a tall ball lineup they would be even more unstoppable, cause I don't see Chet locking down Porzingis. Maybe Chet and Hardenstein on the floor at the same time would be cool to see, but if they got 1 more 6'10 dude that can shoot and is athletic they will be broken. Like a Jabari Smith Jr or MPJ type. Maybe need more size than just Hardenstein against a team like Jokic or against some of these new heavy centers like Edey and Clingan.

I was hoping Ous was gonna be that type of PF but he's just not developing right away like I hoped he would. And its hard to trade for that PF esp with how cheap our team is rn so my guess is that we get those "6'10 dude that can shoot and is athletic" this years draft with the amount of Picks we have or (Ik it wont happen) if we can get Herb Jones out of the PELS since he's easier to trade for since his contract isn't bad I would love get him even if he's more of a SF but can play big at times.

You mean the best compared to their competition for this one season, not best all time, compared. I'm sure you probably knew there was a huge logical fallacy in your argument though. This is why the world sucks... If you give your gf 2 orgasms a week, and the other people she was with this year only gave her one, that's a 100% increase. If her ex gave her 4 a week, and the other guys only gave her 3 that year, that's a 25% increase. According to your broken logic, you're the best lover, because you performed 100% better than your competition, and he only outperformed his competition by 25%, for some reason the fact that he out perfumed you by 400% doesn't matter in your flawed interpretation of the data. I have to believe you know you're making a deeply flawed argument, so all I want to know is why. Why do people like you behave in that way? Why do the stupid, bad faith arguments you make have to pollute the world? Why can't you just be decent, honest, people?

Injuries forced the Thunder to adopt that small lineup, but it might be a crucial weapon come playoff time. They struggled to beat the Mav's zone last season due to a lack of spacing and shooting; a 5 out lineup that can still defend at a high level is the perfect antidote.
@michaelahurt21 сағат бұрын
????? Their base lineup _IS_ a five out lineup because of Chet. And was last year They just need Chet and J-Dub to make shots like they normally do and not have some 30% shooter on the other team randomly turn into Klay Thompson for 3 games

They lost cause Giddey was unplayable, no defence and no offence unless valid in his hands and his passing as well as it was Chet vs gafford, Lively as the only big man plus Washington so whenever Chet was out we were screwed we got destroyed by offensive rebounds and Lobs and that’s where ihart comes in and Caruso for toughness, Wallace is a better defender now and Chet’s defence looked even better gotta remember he was a rookie last year and J dub is a much better consistent player now we’re still the youngest team in league all of our players are gonna get better every year cause they’re literally so young

@@michaelahurt I'm not suggesting they start with the small line up, or even use it in large minutes. If Chet and IHart are healthy, then obviously they would both play heavy minutes. BUT Holmgren and Hartenstein have both missed time this season already; Chet might need significant recovery time. If either man is unavailable or playing poorly, then not only are the Thunder well practiced in playing small, it could even provide a tactical edge in certain match ups. It's a great way to unlock a zone defense, a counter to the Grizz or Warriors going small, and its the best way to take Rudy Gobert out of the paint.
