Two of the coolest m-fers in music came together and created a killer jam. R.I.P. to Robert Wilson of the legendary Gap Band. The brother of Ronnie and Uncle Charlie Wilson who rounded out the legendary trio was 53 years old when he passed on Sunday, August 15, 2010.

Can barely tell who's sing what part!
@DeCurtaRican3 жыл бұрын
Reminds me of Babyface and Jon B. (“Someone to Love”), and Luther and Gregory Hines (There’s Nothing Better Than Love”). R.I.P. to Luther and Gregory 😢 You can barely tell the difference between the voices. There’s a slight difference, and that makes it dope. Another example is Tamia and Brandy on “I’ll be Missing You,” from the Set It Off soundtrack. They sounded alike. Obviously, Tamia is a superior singer to Brandy, and as she got older her voice became more distinguishable, but when they were young it was almost impossible.

I know right, I have about a good 10 to 15 soundtracks in my CD collection. Soundtracks is one way I discovered new artists I felt back then they were a way of promoting artists and their label. I do miss when a record label would take control of the soundtrack or a producer, like R.kelly and Wyclef when they did the Life soundtrack
@BornToBeFamed7 жыл бұрын
Lateshia Childs i miss when labels actually helped artist so they both could make money. Now they just promote dumb shit

@RTDavis05034 жыл бұрын
@diabe diabira you are 100% WRONG. Aaron live can't TOUCH Charlie. I've seen both live multiple times. Charlie's voice and range is far more powerful and strong. I'm not talking about studio singing, I'm talking about LIVE. Aaron tends to over sing and lose his voice before the end of the song. Charlie's voice is like a hemi engine. It's so reliable because of his superior technique. Please research this before you make statements like this. Search all of Aaron's LIVE performances and then search Charlie's. NO COMPARISON. Plus Aaron is nothing but a Charlie Wilson copycat. He himself admits he patterned all of his vocal style after Charlie's Gap Band days. Charlie is the mentor. How is the student better than the mentor??? Charlie came out in 1979 with the Gap Band. Aaron didn't come out until 1988! Listen man, I'm an entertainer and singer, I know this. I challenge you to post ONE live performance of Aaron over Charlie's that proves your comment
@RTDavis05034 жыл бұрын
@diabe diabira Aaron copied Charlie Wilson. There is a song they did together called Everything's gonna be alright where he admits ON RECORD that Charlie was his mentor. You must be young. You probably think Charlie came out in the 2000's when R Kelly resurrected his career after he got off Drugs. Charlie was the famous lead singer of the GAP BAND that came out in 1979 and ruled until 1986 before Charlie's drug use derailed the bands success and left him homeless. That's when Aaron and Guy came out 2 years later filling the void the Gap Band left by copying their format. Please research youngster
