I never knew anything about percussion but I know what I like and have ALWAYS liked this. The beat, the drums, the funky sound, the vocals. It all works so well together. But you can hear the drum carries the core. Love it!

I love the Gap , music you can dance to with a terrific beat without the vulgarity. I am 70 years old and still enjoy dancing to their music. The good old days, the great memories dancing with a group of friends to the Gap band music.

You know you have something unique when you can play 4 measures from a band’s catalog and immediately know the artist. These guys had that kind of sound - Very distinctive. And still influential. I love The Gap Band!

I met them in Sacramento where they did a concert in the early 80s. My best friend Cat Daddy) was from Tulsa Oklahoma where they all grew up together. Your right about old school music. Thank you lady.

He did do the " moonwalk" - in my early 20's in the 1980's- this music was the BOMB.... Friday , Saturday nights we'd all go dancing...clubbing to all this type of music...so much fun & was in shape from sweating/dancing it off!!

Back in the late 70’s early 80’s when during instructional time, in the middle of the school day, we were allowed to have dances in the cafeteria. We danced to this song followed by country western Scottish dance.
