Punishing little boys for doing things that are perceived as “too feminine” is just going to make them incredibly insecure. It also often makes them overcompensate by being incredibly masculine, but bc of the punishment of normal behavior in their childhood if it was labeled “too feminine” and the fact that any household who would do that does NOT have a healthy view of masculinity, their hypermasculinity will include things that aren’t really “masculine” and are actually just violent, toxic, etc. Expressing emotions and caring about things are often seen as “feminine” in household like that, which leads to those poor boys growing up and not being able to open up about their mental health, causing even more problems. You can’t beat or bully the femininity out of someone, and most mannerisms are not inherently masculine or feminine. Things like leaning on a table, having a hand on your hip, etc. aren’t going to make your kid want to wear dresses or grow up and kiss boys. And if your kid DOES end up being LGBT+, you can’t bully or beat that out of them either. Punishing children for expressing themselves in a way you don’t like but a way that also doesn’t hurt anyone is pointless and will just contribute to issues later down the line, both in your child’s life as they grow up, and in your relationship with your child. Masculinity and femininity shouldn’t be a performance or a learned behavior- they should be something that’s expressed naturally and not just to fit a certain mold. Punishing a child for doing something that “isn’t ladylike” or “isn’t manly enough/“makes them look like a [insert gay slur]”, etc. but is something you wouldn’t punish a child of the opposite gender for is just stupid. Your kid doing something harmless that you view as not fitting into the personality and mannerisms you want them to have is pointless and selfish. It’s never led to anything good for anyone. Little girls shouldn’t grow up thinking they can’t run around in the dirt or do the sports and fun activities that her brothers do. Little boys shouldn’t grow up afraid to ever pick up and play with a doll or wear a pink shirt or have a hobby like art or music. Forcing your kid not to do what they like because you think it’s not acceptable for their gender isn’t actually going to change what your kid likes, it’s just going to make them afraid to express themselves.

We should probably not let people get hit in the head over and over again for our entertainment. Especially before their brains are done developing. That's been a lot of changes to sports like football and wrestling to minimize head injuries but fans get mad about it. It's not ALL to blame on CTEs and head injuries but it's not great

I know it's almost never a mannequin, but my husband was cleaning a pond he maintains a few days ago and he reached down and thought he pulled up a skull. He was freaking out. It was a statue bust. He was very happy it was a mannequin. We actually kept it, it looks pretty cool. It's like a hollow concrete.

Jfc, I knew he’d killed someone or two people but I had no idea this guy was a full serial killer. Not a football person and I don’t live in a football family, and I was 12 when Odin was murdered. But generally with cases of famous people being killers I’ve picked up on some details over the years just from people mentioning it every once and awhile. I cannot believe he wasn’t caught for the first couple of murders. He barely saw consequences for any bad behavior his whole life, so it doesn’t surprise me that he committed so many murders like it was nothing. I wonder if his childhood being better would have made a difference.

I lived in Florida when he was at UF, and he had a LOT of bad talk around about him THEN, but Coach Meyer wasn't just gonna flush the kid out of the system (at least not until he'd won just as much off of him as he could, anyway!). Tons of trouble in Gainesville, all thanks to Mr. Hernandez. Great player, but a horrible human being with zero impulse control. I know he had CTE, but his violence issues started before that would've been a contributing factor. Still, I do hope his daughter is doing well.

TE’s are a double-edged sword: they prevent the defense from getting too close to the ball and the passer (the person holding the ball) and also receive (catch) the ball as the team advances towards the end zone (hopefully resulting in points. TE’s also can rush the ball (ie hold it while running forward.) Some of them also have nice tight ends.

I was surprised he actually got life sentence w/o possible parole because so many get such light sentences. Usually Football players get away with murder all the time. Even if sentenced they get such a slack sentence. 10 to 15 years with time served and of course you then factor good behavior so not the entire 10 to 15 is usually served. Just think of that one football player driving drunk at crazy high speed in his Lamborghini. At least the victim and her dog has a beautiful mural painted at crash site corner.
