Time after time was Lauper's first hit song co written by Rob Hyman and released in 1984! However Myles Davis did cover the song in 1985 no doubt because of the song being the main reason her first album stayed on the billboard charts for over 90 weeks! Which is around a year and a half! So if we are being honest what is the reason at the root of this incorrect statement you've tried to sell as fact, I'm gonna guess wanting to feel superior and more intelligent than the next person has lead you down the path of looking stupid! He prob does this at his shows to give the crowd and fans a chance to have some interaction. He has a ton of his own songs. When you go to a concert you know what they are going to sing.
